Today we’d like to introduce you to Michelle Ballin.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
It happened by a personal interest for juicing. About 6 years ago, we were juicing in our own kitchen for breakfast and lunch or even for a quick healthy drink to go. Kinda like a little to-go snack. We have been very fortunate to be able to travel some and every time we would go somewhere new, domestic and overseas we would look for a juice/smoothie bar. So about 3 years ago, we talked it over in the family and started coming up with all different kinds of juices, smoothies and açai bowls, it quickly evolved into more choices of healthy eats and finally, we decided that lake St. Louis, Wentzville and city’s around us were missing out so opening a store becomes a dream of ours. Moving forward and up to now we are in a learning process of running a mom and paps joint doing what we love and serving the kind of eats, drink and spirits we are self-enjoy. With our Grand opening on July 9th we are even more excited and can’t wait to see what the future brings.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Trying to do a complete rebuild of a business space to our standards has been very interesting. A lot of the things we were able to do our self, but for instance getting an authorized plumber to come do some work has been a hassle, after 8 plumbers coming out giving us a bit, setting up a time to come do the actual work and then not showing up has been a pain in my a… We finally got it done but has been delayed in the process for our opening date. it is almost here and it is going to be life-changing for us and many other people.
