Today we’d like to introduce you to Abi Moyer.
Hi Abi, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I am a wife and mom to two boys. I’ve worked in the cheerleading industry for many years and before I started my own business, would frequently go hop in a spray tan booth before an event, competition, etc. (sometimes it would turn out ok, but sometimes it did not).
As my first son was getting older, I decided to take a small step back from the cheer industry to start something that would allow me to make my own schedule. That’s when I decided to become certified in custom spray tanning. I started as a mobile spray tan artist and also took over the guest bedroom in our old home to set up my tent.
I now have a beautiful in-home studio which we know as, The Spray Room. I am always continuing my education to stay on top of the latest techniques and products in the industry. I absolutely LOVE this business and have so much fun getting to know each person that steps into my tent.
My favorite part is seeing the boost of confidence each of my bronze babes gets as they leave The Spray Room.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I would love to say that the business has always been perfect and easy, but that is not the case. Like many businesses, I shut down in 2020 due to the pandemic.
During that time, I was able to reflect on my business, and think about ways that I can better serve my clients.
I sought out further education, tested so many different solutions and products, did some rebranding, and came back stronger than ever.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I specialize in custom spray tanning. Each client is sprayed with a solution blended to complement their skins’ needs and their desired color based on my knowledge of color theory. I use a variety of spraying techniques to provide a custom spray tan for each clients’ unique body type. I believe it is the full experience that sets The Spray Room apart from others.
Each client is provided a robe to change into, prep spray, barrier cream, and a finishing powder to set the tan and feel dry and comfortable when leaving their appointment. Clients also have the option to further customize their spray tan and experience by adding different scents, CBD, and shimmer drop to the solution.
Adding contour during the appointment is a great way to enhance the body’s natural definition. There is also a hydration spray that can be added which also serves as an odor blocker. I love hosting bridal parties and girls’ night in with drinks, charcuterie, and spray tans.
It’s such a fun atmosphere to be around friends, getting pampered and leaving with a glow. I provide all the prep and maintenance information for my clients to ensure they develop a beautiful tan that will last as long as possible.
The Spray Room provides a comfortable and high-quality experience for those wanting a glow for an event, vacation, or simply a boost of confidence.

I have absolutely learned many lessons due to the COVID-19 crisis.
Count your blessings every day. Give grace and kindness to each person you meet because you don’t know their battles.
Things that have worked in the past may not work anymore. So be flexible, change things up, and think outside the box.
