Today we’d like to introduce you to JRoc Clothing.
Hi JRoc, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I was born and raised in St. Louis, MO. I’m from Kaufman Park U.City, moved to Dallas, TX, in 2002 for 10 years, started my Entrepreneurship, and became my Boss in 2008 as an Artist Management. JRoc Management LLC was created. I managed Models and Artists. 3 years later, JRoc Entertainment LLC launched. I started Promoting and throwing parties and events. Entrepreneurship was my lane; in 2013, my life changed. My father, my backbone, became ill. I moved back to St. Louis to become a full-time caregiver for my only living parent. JRoc Entertainment started back up in 2015 in St. Louis. My family pushed me to get back to what I love doing. I put together a team and began Booking celebrities and promoting events. I worked with various promoters around St. Louis and East St. Louis. My biggest accomplishment then was managing a popular downtown venue for a year. 2016 JRoc Clothing LLC originated. I always had an eye for fashion and decided to design my clothes, market, and brand myself with my distinct JRoc logo. My clothing line took off, a website was created, and I would receive orders Worldwide, and shipping began. I was on Fox2 News a few times and did an appearance on the Red Carpet of the BET Awards 2018. What a great, humbling experience!
I networked with celebrities who gave me great advice and encouragement to keep pushing my brand, and I did just that. I then started the Neighborhood to the World movement in University City, where I grew up; I received so much Support and Love from my U.City Family. Our very own U. City Legend, American rapper and actor Nelly, has supported me and the Movement, and I appreciate his help. I am also a National Recording Artist with a track called Uh-Huh by Kayos featuring Myself (JRoc) and Hitch; we are currently streaming Worldwide on all Digital Platforms. The track was created for the Neighborhood to the World Movement, to which every Neighborhood can relate. Make sure you stream it and check it out! I am still pushing my Brand JRoc Clothing, which is available in 2 locations here in St. Louis. Prince Beauty and Drip STL. Made in STL is another line of JRoc Clothing doing very well here in STL. I recently purchased a store that will open in Spring 2024. I am also a member of the STL on the Rocks Bar & Grill Family, which my sisters own. I help out in various ways, and I’m the Fashion designer for them and their employees. JRoc Clothing also does custom work for other businesses in the surrounding areas. I plan to continue pushing my brand and become available in a nearby department store. Made in STL, it is my newest line in JRoc Clothing and has been doing well in the metro.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There were struggles along the way, but nothing worth having comes easy; I embraced my struggles, which made me who I am today. I am thankful for the doors that didn’t open for me when I needed them the most or those who didn’t believe in me, which made me go even harder. A real Hustler requires an opportunity, faith, and consistency.
We’ve been impressed with JRoc Clothing ROCSTL, but for folks who might need to be more familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Although I do several things, fashion is my passion, and I’m most proud that JRoc Clothing is Worldwide: Dallas, Houston, Austin, Atlanta, Chicago, Indiana, Arkansas, NY, CA, LA, MA, MS, and IL. I ship any and everywhere. I enjoy bringing ideas to life and creating Custom Exclusive items. I also work with my high school, University City High School Alumni Association. JRoc Clothing Brand has created custom orders for Basketball teams, class reunions, club owners and workers, motorcycle groups, coaches, churches, high schools, and rap artists. My Uniqueness sets me apart from others; my logo its trendy and trending. It represented worldwide, and I have much more to come.
How do you think about luck?
I don’t believe in good or bad luck. I believe in talent, hard work, intelligence, preparation, taking calculated risks, being consistent, and dedication. I worked hard to get where I am; it was not luck, instead lots of prayers.
