Life & Work with Steven Delia

Today we’d like to introduce you to Steven Delia.

Hi Steven, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started doing photography in high school. I never took it seriously in high school never thought it would be anything. I wish it took it more seriously when I was younger. I’ve come to realize I have a great eye. I really started to develop my love for photography and the art industry When I walked away from football. I know photography is something I love and enjoy the passion for because I love the enjoyment in the empowerment behind each image that I take. I know images can do a lot for other people I see the reactions and I love the reactions. I want to see more reactions and more empowering emotions from people in the future. But I want to capture and in capture all of the greatest moments of the world if I can.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it has not been a smooth road. The road and journey is very difficult and I’m still going through it. I am developing a business from scratch. I’m learning on my own and connecting with people that I’ve never met or even thought of. I am reaching out to people and trying to learn and trying to connect with anyone that will connect. I just want to become credible in the have people within the industry understand that I am taking this seriously and I want my friends and family to understand that too and not second-guess me

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I would say I’m known for sports photography within the Lindenwood University. I am very proud of the images I shot over this last football season for Lindenwood football because of the emotion and the fatigue of the players they were playing.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I’m a very shy individual and I’m a very understanding individual. I will always watch your bag and always help if I can but once you cross that line of not respecting me then I will cut you off immediately.
