Today we’d like to introduce you to Dead Sure
Dead, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
B Hancock, Jessie Langs, and Aaron Wall established Dead Sure Studio in 2021 after bouncing around different studios in Illinois and Missouri.
The three of us were working towards more specialized genres of tattooing outside of traditional and walk-in tattoo art. Making the choice to open a private studio allowed us to focus more on our specific style interests.
We also wanted to create a private space that was safe, friendly, and welcoming to our clientele.
After a few years, Megan Lindemann joined us, and a year after that, Aaron made the decision to mentor our newest member, Sarah Houseman.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I (Aaron) don’t believe any tattooer, or business owner for that matter, really got to where they are without some sort of struggle or adversity to overcome.
Tattooing is a hard thing to learn and be consistently good at day in and day out.
Overall, since we’ve opened Dead Sure, the road has been fairly smooth.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
We are a private tattoo studio in downtown St. Louis with 4 artists and one apprentice.
We excel at several styles but are primarily known for blackwork, blackout, illustrative, and custom-drawn anime pieces.
We are one of the only, if not the only, tattoo studios currently that have artists who specifically specialize in custom anime and heavy blackout tattooing.
Specializing within these styles is what we have become known and sought after for.
We are particularly proud of the experience and level of care that we are able to give to our clients. We provide everything needed for a comfortable session and easy healing experience.

Creating a special experience, a comfortable environment, and a creative space that fosters our artists’ growth while ensuring our clients feel safe and cared for.
