Today we’d like to introduce you to Denise Gordon.
Hi Denise, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, you could tell our readers some of your backstories.
Hi, my name is Denise. I grew up in Maryland. As a young girl living in Baltimore, I aspired to write and travel because my Mom always had fancy books and magazines. She also took my siblings and me to church. Although I come from humble beginnings- I prayed my way to change the world. My love for books made it seem perfect. Although I have yet to finish college-one day, I plan to. I have written and published three books- Thanksgiving New York Style, Brandon Dreams the World Through the Internet, and Meet You in New Orleans. All are available on @Goodreads or @Amazon.com. I have primarily worked in the executive and professional fields. I have always dreamed of helping others. I have currently just launched a fashion podcast- Take a Fashion Seat! The podcast’s goals are to empower, shed light on an exciting passion of mine- and share the joys of giving. I aim to find out from each guest how they give back and how we can all help. As my journey continues, I look forward to graduating from college, writing more books, taking Take a Fashion Seat on an International platform, and reaching back to those in need- by the grace of God. I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been smooth?
It’s been hard. I got married early and didn’t finish college. When you struggle to make ends meet, sometimes you have to put your education on the shelf. Although my marriage didn’t survive- my faith makes me happy. I admire people who don’t let obstacles get in their way.

I am most proud of writing books, creating content, raising my son, launching a podcast, and being blessed with amazing job opportunities.
