Hi Ernest, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, let’s briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I am a father of 5, and while we are not a military family, the only feasible option was college if the goal was to be considered successful by the mainstream. My wife and I have multiple degrees, so we understand the sacrifice of time and energy required to get a college degree. Several of our children had no interest in college or the military, so I thought, hmm, what are their options? Work a heavily induced laborer job? My children are not built for that, so we had to do some brainstorming, and as parents, we joined a mentorship program to take our success to another level and assist our children as they embark on this thing we call, Adulting. Upon close review, we learned about the digital marketplace and the opportunities we were presented with; based on this knowledge, we jumped in with both feet! I created several digital products, and from that, I started a mentoring academy, WTF What’s The Formula, where we focus on young men, who don’t want to go to college or the military, yet have a desire to be successful without having to do laborious work. And several of my coaches and mentors created Formulas for success, and the first formula we teach is BS (Belief System). I am a heavily sought-after public speaker, and my presentations aim to enlighten parents and educational officials with options that may not align with traditional practices and customs.
Please talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned. Looking back, has it been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s been an amazing ride! What many see as losses, I view as lessons. My perspective and BS allow me to see the beauty in everything we do. Struggles? Of course! One of the greatest struggles is getting someone to believe in themselves when they’ve been told for their entire life that they were mess ups etc.—or getting a parent who doesn’t have much hope for their child to start believing that their child is amazing and a walking miracle.

We focus on teenagers who desire greatness and don’t want to go the traditional route to access it. We have a community of liked minded individuals who have a safe place to discuss concerning issues etc. Some of our mentees started with us because they mentioned they were considering suicide, and now they understand who they are. We provide them with tools to start this thing we call Adulting and teach them success secrets that will allow them to entirely this digital marketplace and succeed. Below is some of what we communicate to the potential mentees and their guardians.
- Expertise: The mentorship program provides access to experienced mentors who can guide and support new business owners in their journey toward success. The mentors have a proven track record of success in their respective fields and are committed to sharing their knowledge and expertise to help participants achieve their goals.
- Customized Curriculum: The 12-week curriculum is designed to meet the specific needs of the participants and is tailored to their individual business goals and challenges. The curriculum covers various topics, including business planning, marketing, sales, financial management, and leadership.
- Accountability and Support: The mentorship program provides regular check-ins and feedback to ensure participants stay on track and progress towards their goals. Mentors can answer questions and provide guidance and support throughout the program.
- Stipend: Participants in the mentorship program will receive a $500 stipend to help cover the costs associated with starting a new business. This stipend can cover website development, marketing materials, or office supplies.
- Three-day Cruise: Upon completing the program, participants will receive a three-day cruise as a reward for their hard work and dedication. This cruise is designed to provide a relaxing and rejuvenating experience and opportunities for networking and learning from fellow participants.
