Meet Laura Stephens of Forever In Paradise C0

Today we’d like to introduce you to Laura Stephens

Hi Laura, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
At just 22, I discovered a significant gap in the travel industry when it comes to honeymoon planning. While planning my own honeymoon in 2022, my assigned advisor was essentially non-existent. Faced with the challenge of organizing our all-inclusive resort stay on my own, I realized how many others must be experiencing similar frustrations. That realization became the driving force behind my decision to open my own travel agency. I knew I could offer a far superior level of service and create truly unforgettable experiences for my clients.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
While the initial spark of ‘I can do this better!’ was strong, the reality of running a business quickly set in. There have been so many adjustments along the way. One of the biggest struggles early on was simply learning the ropes of the industry. I was passionate about travel, but I had to quickly become an expert on everything from booking systems and supplier relationships to marketing and client management. It was a steep learning curve, and I made some mistakes. I had to be willing to ask questions, learn from others, and constantly adapt.

Another challenge was building trust and credibility, especially being so young. Despite my age, I had to prove to potential clients that I was knowledgeable and reliable. That meant going above and beyond in every interaction, delivering exceptional service, and building a strong reputation through word-of-mouth. And of course, there are the inevitable ups and downs of running any business. The travel industry can be unpredictable, and I’ve had to navigate everything from unexpected travel disruptions to economic fluctuations. Learning to be flexible, resilient, and resourceful has been essential. It hasn’t always been easy, but every challenge has been a learning opportunity, and it’s made me a stronger business owner.

We’ve been impressed with Forever In Paradise C0, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I specialize in curating luxury honeymoons and destination weddings, primarily in Europe and the Caribbean. I understand that these are incredibly special occasions, and we’re dedicated to creating truly bespoke experiences for our clients. Whether it’s a romantic honeymoon exploring the Greek Isles or a destination wedding on a pristine Caribbean beach, we handle every detail with meticulous care. From venue selection and ceremony arrangements to personalized itineraries filled with unique experiences, we ensure that each celebration is a reflection of the couple’s style and preferences. My expertise lies in crafting seamless and stress-free experiences, allowing couples to focus on enjoying this momentous occasion.

What sets me apart, I think, is my commitment to truly understanding my clients’ needs and desires. I take the time to get to know them, their travel styles, their budgets, and their dreams. I don’t just book a package; I curate an experience. I handle all the details, from flights and accommodations to activities and dining reservations, so my clients can relax and enjoy the journey. And because I focus on Europe and the Caribbean, I’ve cultivated fantastic partnerships with a range of brands, from charming boutique resorts to major players like Sandals. These relationships mean I can offer my clients exclusive perks, competitive pricing, and the peace of mind of knowing they’re in good hands. My partners trust me to take care of my clients, and that’s something I’m incredibly proud of.

Beyond honeymoons and destination weddings, I’m also thrilled to be launching Pink Passport Society, a dedicated part of my brand focused on planning unforgettable girls’ retreats. These retreats are designed to connect like-minded women based on shared interests, creating a supportive and empowering environment for travel and exploration. From wellness retreats in Bali to culinary adventures in Italy, Pink Passport Society is all about fostering connections and creating lasting memories.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the personal connections we build with our clients. What I really want your readers to know is that we’re more than just a booking engine. We’re travel advisors, consultants, and advocates. I’m here to guide my clients through every step of the planning process, from the initial consultation to their return home. I’m passionate about travel, and we’re dedicated to helping our clients create memories that will last a lifetime. Many of them become repeat customers and refer us to their friends, which is the highest compliment. I’m known for my responsiveness, attention to detail, and genuine care for our clients’ well-being. I’m not just selling trips; I’m building relationships.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
What I love most about St. Louis is the vibrant diversity and sense of community. There’s a real spirit of collaboration and support here, and I’ve found it incredibly welcoming. I love the rich history, the amazing food scene, and the beautiful parks – Forest Park is a gem! There’s just a unique energy in St. Louis that I find really cozy.

What I like least, though, is the fact that we’re located in a state that isn’t always as progressive as the city itself. There’s a disconnect between the values and forward-thinking mindset you find within St. Louis and some of the broader state policies. It can be frustrating, and it highlights that there’s still a lot of work to do to create a more inclusive and equitable environment for everyone in Missouri. But, I also believe that St. Louis can be a leader in that change, and I’m hopeful for the future.
