Today we’d like to introduce you to Madison Loethen.
Hi Madison, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I am a mommy social media creator whose background in television and public relations gave me some of the skills I needed to share my story. I graduated from Lindenwood University with a BA in Broadcast Journalism and Public Relations and started work right away as a news reporter for ABC 17 News in the Columbia/Jefferson City market. I later worked for Newsy, a web news company, in Columbia.
I then took a public relations position at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia. It was during my time working in public relations that I started a YouTube channel, blog, Instagram, and eventually TikTok. It was really just for fun at the time, but I ended up growing a following when my engagement to my husband Kyle went viral through a Helzberg Diamonds marketing campaign. My husband and I were also featured on HGTV’s House Hunters after buying our first home, which was a lot of fun. When I got pregnant with our first child, I transitioned my personal brand to more “mommy content” and have been focusing on my motherhood journey ever since. I love connecting with other moms and parents and sharing the ups and the downs. I am now pregnant with our second child and am posting about pregnancy and toddler mom life.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I grew pretty slowly on social media at first but got a few boosts when certain posts or videos would go viral and after some of our different media appearances.

I specialize in mommy content, and I love it! Motherhood isn’t an easy journey, and I found it so helpful to watch other women’s experiences on social media. That’s what motivated me to share my own story.
