Today, we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Mae Brown. Sarah Mae was introduced to us by the brilliant and talented Feva Daniels.

Hi Sarah Mae, we’re so thrilled to have you sharing your story with us today. Maybe we can kick things off by having you introduce yourself to our readers? We’d love to have you go into your story and how you got to where you are today.
My journey is one of resilience, determination, and faith. It is a story that inspires us to look beyond our limitations and choose our destiny over our diagnosis. Her experience serves as proof that, despite our circumstances, we can overcome them and lead fulfilled lives.

After experiencing a seizure during a high school choir performance, Sarah was diagnosed with epilepsy, a neurological disorder that left her with a list of restrictions. She vowed to do her best to be a good mother to her new baby Trinitee. Despite the obstacles, Her aspirations were dashed, however, when she experienced a seizure soon after giving birth, which resulted in a lifetime battle with epilepsy.

The restrictions were back, and life was once again limited. She had to have daily nurse visits, lost her driving privileges for six months, and could not pick up her child alone. For Sarah, it was a lonely and alienating experience. As her classmates were seeing the world, she felt like she was confined.

Postpartum depression set in, and Sarah contemplated taking her own life. It was a low point in her life, but with the help of her nurse, she realized that she was not living her life but merely existing.

During a difficult time in her life, Sarah was asked by her nurse why she didn’t want to live anymore. Sarah remembers telling her that it was because she had never lived before. This statement was a turning point for Sarah, as it led her to realize that she had been merely existing and going through the motions of life. She decided to choose her destiny over her diagnosis and began a spiritual wellness journey that changed her life. Her spiritual wellness plan serves as a blueprint for anyone looking to improve their mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

We’ve heard great things about your organization. For our readers who might not be as familiar, can you please tell them about the organization?
Sarah Mae journey towards spiritual wellness has also led her to create Destiny Over Diagnosis, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping others who are struggling with life after being diagnosed with a life-altering ailment. Through the organization focus on Service, Education, Awareness, Ministry, and Support (S.E.A.M.S.), Sarah Mae and her team provide hope and inspiration to those who may be feeling lost or alone in their struggles. I am most Proud of our Destiny over Diagnosis award ceremony. There we spread awareness for different diagnosis and shine a ight on the people on the people faced with the challenges and advertises they faces and over came them choosing to put there Destiny over there Diagnosis.

Feva Daniels and Hair Relics have been great to us and I know you’ve got a great relationship with them as well. Maybe you can tell our audience a bit about Feva Daniels and Hair Relics and your experience with them.
I have worked with Feva for 8 plus years. She is truly a inspiration to me. Despite all the obstacles she face she continues to put her Destiny over her diagnosis .Feva is a recipient of the 2021 Destiny over Diagnosis award. She finds time to help any and everyone. She has personal helped me when my vison became blurry regarding who i was what i was doing, Feva talked to me counseled me until I can see clearly who I was and what I was doing. Feva is more then a person she is a experience. She brings o much to the room her ability to envision and captivate the moment is unmated. Hair Relics has become a safe place for me to sit and both peace and service. The warm friendly environment second to non.
