Hi Guy, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started detailing when I was 15. From then till I was 16 I was really just learning how to detail, working on various small airplanes and cars. In 2023, I would work under a car detailer learning from him while simultaneously working on turning my skill into a company. Later in 2023 I would get bids to work at some pretty big flight schools and even a huge international company.
In 2024 Plane Clean would take off, I would acquire an office and start working for various companies across the Saint Louis Area. Now as Plane Clean is entering 2025, we are about to launch a bunch of new services and even merchandise through the use of excellent vendors and staff. We are planning to take the industry even further into the future.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Plane Clean was never a smooth road, and in all seriousness, I am thankful it wasn’t. I learned a huge amount about myself and the aviation industry through my struggles and trials. I learned most importantly who I need to put my faith in, and that individual is Jesus Christ and him alone. Some struggles I faced along the way were staffing and job consistency. It was hard finding people to stay longer than a month or two because of how detailed and laborous the work is. With there only being so many aircraft in Saint Louis, it has been incredibly difficult to find work especially in the winter.

Plane Clean specializes in Dry Washes and Details for Fixed-Wing and Rotary-Wing aircraft, while offering additional maintenance services like Bright Work and De-Ice Boot Sealing. Other local aircraft detailing services do not put forth enough effort towards ensuring quality and customer satisfaction. That is why as the owner of Plane Clean, I am proud to own and operate an aircraft detailing service that prides itself on providing quality, exceeding client standards, and safe operation. I want those reading this and hearing my story to be inspired to explore and motivated to challenge themselves. This world encourages people to be average and comfortable, lets look to be driven and uncomfortable for a change.
Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
I was not in business during the crisis, but a main lesson that I feel like we all learned as Americans is adapting and overcoming is not an option but rather a necessity to survive in the world we live in.
