Hi Tiara, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Growing up, I always had a love for makeup, fashion, and the overall process of getting ready for the day. It was a form of expression for me, so I took that passion and formed it into my business, Uniquely Styled.
In the beginning, I just offered makeup services but in my heart, I always knew I wanted to be more than a makeup artist. After 6 years of perfecting my craft and building my clientele, Uniquely Styled is known as a makeup and beauty boutique. We offer an array of services, clothing, and accessories – making us a one-stop-shop for all things glam.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Entrepreneurship hasn’t been easy. I’d say, my biggest struggle along the way would have to be perfecting time management and doing the correct research to make sure things behind the scenes are in order.
Being a first-time business owner isn’t easy especially when you don’t really have a mentor in place to lean on along the way. It’s a lot of trial and error but you must stay focused on the end goal and invest in yourself.
I’m one who wears many hats. As a full-time business owner, wife and mother it can be a lot to juggle but I have an amazing support system and a team that helps make sure everything is in order so that we can always give our clients top-tier customer service. I’m grateful for that.
We’ve been impressed with Uniquely Styled, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Uniquely Styled Makeup and Beauty Boutique is a one-stop shop for all things glam!
We specialize in soft/bridal makeup and offer a sip n’ shop experience with our boutique. As a mother, wife, and entrepreneur. I understand the importance of women being able to unwind and partake in self-care, which is why when customers come to our shop, they can embark on luxury makeup and sip and shop experiences.
The experiences we create have led me to travel all across the world to provide services and to work with A-list celebrities.
Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
Being a service-based business during the pandemic was initially very scary but I learned the importance of being creative by building different products for my clients so I could still be of service to them.
