Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris Stevens
Hi Chris, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I always wanted to make videos, when I was younger I made silly youtube videos, and took video production courses. After struggling to find a job I found myself in the Funeral Industry, I thought it would be temporary but wound up there for 5+ years. During that time, I worked with multiple families in regards to pictures. I had noticed a difference between how I felt when more and more pictures were present at services than compared to little to no pictures. It made me want to help capture moments for people
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s been challenging to say the least. I have always had confidence issues in my previous artistic adventures that really held me back. To the point where I thought I would never be able to do what I do. I have changed many people’s perspectives on getting quality photos taken, so much so it feels like Im doing what I was meant to do
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Photography, I have a way with candid photos. I have tried posed shots and some of them have turned out very nice. But in almost every session I have had the customers absolutely love the candid pictures I threw in as extra. It means a lot because those types of pictures I think are the best because of how natural they are.
What were you like growing up?
I was quiet growing up, I had a few close friends and they all lived out of state. We were always on Skype together, and ever since those days we have all experienced life, yet our bond is still strong.
I loved playing baseball and video games, even would make videos talking about video games growing up
