Rising Stars: Meet Jeremy Carr of St. Louis, MO

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeremy Carr

Hi Jeremy, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey into various pursuits began with a simple yet powerful decision: I was curious, I tried it, and then I pursued it. Two key factors contributed to my success: I was driven by curiosity and I surrounded myself with like-minded individuals. I firmly believe that the company you keep shapes who you become, and being around successful people can inspire you to achieve similar success. Fortunately, today’s era offers numerous free or inexpensive resources that make it easy to explore new interests. For example, my parkour journey began by associating with other athletes who were part of nonprofit organizations, which ultimately led to the opening of my first gym. Through parkour and freerunning, I developed an interest in photography and video, documenting our training sessions and collaborating with other creatives from production companies. In my experience, the key to success lies in being reliable, networking with peers, embracing feedback, and continually improving your skills. While seizing opportunities is vital, not all opportunities are created equal. As I’ve grown, I’ve learned to be selective, turning down opportunities that don’t align with my goals and pursuing those that challenge me to grow. This approach has served me well, allowing me to meet influential people and build my latest venture, Arch Carts, a transportation and marketing business in STL.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Looking back, developing discernment earlier would have been advantageous. My initial fear of not being “good enough” prevented me from seeking guidance from mentors and investors, which could have accelerated my growth. However, I have come to realize that many potential mentors likely experienced similar doubts, and seeking their guidance is crucial in the creative field to avoid potential pitfalls and dangers. Recognizing the universality of these fears and seeking mentorship could have saved me from unnecessary obstacles and setbacks.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m Jeremy Carr, a multifaceted individual from the Midwest who balances various roles as an business owner, photographer, graphic designer, content creator, and corporate professional. Since childhood, creation and self-expression have driven my journey, from crafting art pieces in school to seeking mental stimulation as an adult to avoid mood swings.

After years of navigating challenging experiences, I have discovered a range of passions that add depth and excitement to my life. Through film and photography, I can explore unique stories, while sales provides a safe space for me to push myself. Content creation allows me to connect with others on an emotional level, and running Arch Carts give me the opportunity to create visually striking narratives.

As I navigate the corporate world in logistics, I view each tracking code as a challenge and a piece of life’s vast puzzle. My goal is to craft solutions that make a meaningful impact by streamlining processes, enhancing user experiences, and addressing real-world problems. This approach satisfies my passion for solving complex puzzles and overcoming obstacles. By combining art and technology, I strive to cultivate a unique worldview that appreciates the interplay between logic and creativity in project completion.

For clients, followers, and potential collaborators: As I navigate life’s complexities with humor, professionalism, and positive insight, I invite you to join me on this journey of discovery, growth, and creativity, where we can share laughter and insights along the way.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I find tremendous fulfillment in exploring my own mind through various forms of self-expression, which helps me gain a deeper understanding of my inner world, nurture my imagination, and stay connected with my inner self despite life’s challenges. Engaging in creative activities is a valuable way for me to reconnect with myself and gain a deeper understanding of my thoughts and feelings, offering a level of self-awareness that other calming practices, like deep breathing, don’t provide, as evidenced by how tracking my jokes during an photography shoot has helped me see how my childhood traumas have influenced my sense of humor.

Embracing the dynamic between my own perception of my work and how others see it has been a fascinating aspect of my creative journey, revealing the diverse possibilities that exist and inspiring personal growth. An image that I took may make me cringe however might inspire someone else, and rather than trying to change their perspective, I can use it as an opportunity to gain new insights and see myself from a fresh angle. This ability to experiment and explore is what makes creating so valuable, whether it’s through giving a ride, video, digital image, or a lead. By embracing this process, I can gain a new perspective that can extend far beyond my own work and enrich my life in profound ways.

Interestingly, many high-achieving individuals who are promoted to management roles often face challenges, whereas those with stronger soft skills may be better suited for such positions. To achieve individual success, discipline is essential. However, when managing a team, emphasizing the need for discipline, competition, and personal growth can actually foster a collaborative, motivated, and harmonious team. As a leader, it’s essential to treat your team members with the same respect, compassion, and honesty that you needed during your own formative years. Recognize that they, too, are driven to succeed and may face similar struggles. Your role is to create an environment where everyone has the opportunity to contribute and grow, prioritizing the well-being of both your team and business operations. Avoid exploiting their desire for success by overworking a select few, as this can lead to burnout and turnover. Instead, focus on building trust and fostering a supportive team culture.

In all, I don’t feel luck has anything to do with it.
