Hi Kayla, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
While finishing up my master’s degree, I began looking for opportunities, and I stumbled upon a chance to be a travel agent. I love traveling and thought it would be a fantastic experience to do what I love to do too!
Let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
Although I’m not new to traveling, I’m new to the business, so learning more from an operational perspective has been a learning curve; I welcome the new journey excitedly.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I created this Instagram account to share my travel experiences creatively. I love traveling, travel photography, and food. Experiencing all that life has to offer in new destinations is very exciting. I’m most proud of the authenticity of my page to my travel journeys. I specialize in being a traveler, domestic and international. I look to get my clients luxury accommodations, the best possible price, and itinerary planning. What sets me apart is that I am an experienced traveler—an active passport holder for over 10 years, a military child, and a military member. I share personal travel on my page.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
Learn a lot and have fun. I’m a type A person, but moving into this industry has allowed me to let my hair down while feeding my need and want to manage while still having lots of fun!
