We’re looking forward to introducing you to Anasiah Clark. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Anasiah, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What are you chasing, and what would happen if you stopped?
I’m chasing impact. For me and Autumn, Glossy By Autumn is so much more than skincare and lip gloss—it’s about building confidence, creating memories, and showing other moms and kids that you can dream together and make those dreams real. If I stopped chasing impact, Glossy By Autumn would just be another brand on the shelf. But because I keep chasing it, it becomes a movement—something that empowers kids to see themselves as entrepreneurs and moms to know they can create legacies with their children. If I stopped, I’d feel like I was leaving not only my own vision behind but also the chance to inspire other families.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Anasiah, and I’m the proud co-founder of Glossy By Autumn, a beauty and skincare brand that I run alongside my 10-year-old daughter, Autumn. What started as a fun mother-daughter project quickly grew into something bigger—a brand built on confidence, creativity, and connection. Together, we create handmade lip care and skincare products like lip glosses, body butters, creams, oils, and scrubs that not only make you feel good but also remind you to practice self-care in a fun and empowering way.
What makes us unique is that Glossy By Autumn isn’t just another beauty line—it’s a mother-daughter movement. Autumn gets to be hands-on in product development, design, and marketing, which shows other kids that entrepreneurship isn’t just for adults. And for moms, it’s a reminder that building a legacy can be something you do with your children, not just for them.
Right now, we’re working on expanding our product collections, hosting pop-up events in our community, and creating digital self-care and business tools for kids and teens who want to explore entrepreneurship. Our goal is to inspire families everywhere to dream big, work together, and glow—inside and out.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
My earliest memory of feeling powerful was the first time I realized that my ideas could come to life. As a little girl, I loved creating—whether it was writing, drawing, or putting together little “businesses” for fun. I remember setting up pretend stores in my living room and feeling this spark when people around me—family or friends—would actually “buy” into what I made. That moment taught me that my creativity had value.
That same feeling of power stayed with me into motherhood, and it’s something I’ve passed on to Autumn. Now, seeing her light up with that same spark when she comes up with a new gloss idea or picks out a scent reminds me of that first moment of believing in myself. It showed me that power isn’t about control—it’s about the confidence to turn your vision into something real and impactful.
When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
I stopped hiding my pain the moment I realized that sharing my story could actually help others—and help me heal, too. For a long time, I felt like I had to put on a brave face, as if admitting my struggles would somehow make me weaker. But when I became a mom and later started building Glossy By Autumn with my daughter, I understood that my challenges were actually part of my strength.
Instead of keeping the hard moments bottled up, I started transforming them into lessons—fuel for my business, my parenting, and my purpose. Every setback became a steppingstone, every disappointment a chance to grow, and every tear a reminder that resilience is a form of power. By showing Autumn that it’s okay to face struggles and still keep pushing, I not only gave myself permission to embrace my own pain but also turned it into something that empowers her and others who follow our journey.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, the public version of me is very much the real me—but it’s also the polished me. What people see through Glossy By Autumn or on social media is my authentic personality, my drive, and my love for building something meaningful with my daughter. I don’t put on a different mask when I show up for my brand; the joy, the creativity, and the passion are all real.
At the same time, like anyone else, I have moments behind the scenes where I’m tired, overwhelmed, or doubting myself. I don’t always show every tear or every struggle, but the core of who I am—the mompreneur who believes in legacy, empowerment, and self-care—is the same on and off camera. The difference is that the public version of me focuses on hope, encouragement, and inspiration, because I want to leave people feeling uplifted, not weighed down.
So yes, the public me is real—but it’s the version of me that chooses to turn even the messy parts of life into fuel for something beautiful.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. If immortality were real, what would you build?
If immortality were real, I would build a legacy of empowerment that never fades—a movement where families, especially mothers and daughters, can build businesses together and pass on both confidence and wealth. I’d create an empire that wasn’t just about products on shelves, but about opportunities: mentorship programs for kids, resources for mompreneurs, and spaces where young people can see themselves as creators, leaders, and visionaries.
I’d want Glossy By Autumn to stand as more than a beauty brand—it would be a living, breathing example of how dreams can start at any age and grow into something that lasts for generations. If I had forever, I’d spend it making sure no child ever doubts their ability to create something powerful and no mother ever doubts her ability to build a legacy with her child. That way, immortality wouldn’t just be mine—it would belong to every person who carried that vision forward.
