An Inspired Chat with Omega Edwards of Walnut Park

Omega Edwards shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Omega , really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
Intelligence. My theory is If you have the conscious and ability to learn than there is no excuse on why you can’t master how to control your energy and choose to do the right thing even when no one is watching but the crazy thing is someone is always watching!

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
CLAN which stands for Certified Legitimized and Notarized is a brand I developed back in 2016. CLAN is a lifestyle of Authenticity. What I mean by “authenticity” is that everything we do has proof or evidence proving we are a networking pool of successful individuals and entrepreneurs bringing our resources together creating a strategic alliance to create opportunities for the next generation. That can be a various of things such as Music, Film, Sports, Fashion, Politics, Fitness and Health, etc. I began traveling to different towns to different cities to different states, and now to countries meeting people with resources that I can benefit from and they can benefit from and together we are creating a loyalty circle. CLAN has partnered with Empire Distrubition, Amazon, BLE Studios, Herb Depot, MisFit Records, Black Charlie’s Social Bar, Street Runners llc, Out The Box KC llc,etc to advertise, promote, Recruit and build new opportunities for the next generation. Whatever lane you are traveling we can guide you in the right direction.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
When my homeboy and myself was getting of work one night, we almost got kilt for some money by these two dudes from around the way. That whole night and all events that took place really help me see how cold and ugly but yet truthful the world really is.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
That it will never stop. In order for you to have success or victory in anything we must suffer. That’s what makes it worth wild. Suffering all the time makes you want to die and succeeding all the time eventually gets boring and too easy. So, having a balance between Suffering and Success… I embrace it all!

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
Linda Ray a very successful multi millionaire whom fought her way out of the trenches of Wyandotte County, Kansas dealing with discrimination for her love for black culture and wanting to help young black Americans be better successful people. She had mentor me and taught me how to conduct myself amongst others of her caliber.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
Lawrence Edwards Aka Omega (LEO) Lived his life with No regrets!
