Hi Aprile, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always been the same person at my core, someone who finds joy in creating and encouraging others. The difference today is that I now have the privilege of sharing my creativity with the world, whether that’s through handmade crafts, photography, workshops, or creating spaces where people feel seen, inspired, and empowered.
My entrepreneurial journey actually began in Arizona as a small jewelry business. At the time, it was simply a creative outlet. Making jewelry brought me peace and became a way to manage my anxiety while creating something beautiful with my hands. I loved seeing the finished pieces, but even more, I loved seeing the smiles they brought to the people who wore them.
For a long time, I never imagined turning that passion into a business. That changed when someone saw something in me that I hadn’t yet seen in myself. She encouraged me to launch my business and continued pushing me until I finally took the leap. It was scary, but that conversation became one of the most pivotal moments of my life because it opened the door to possibilities I had never considered.
After relocating to St. Louis, my business began to evolve. What started as jewelry gradually expanded as I discovered new creative outlets and gained new life experiences. Over the years, the business changed names and directions more than once, but each season helped me better understand who I was, what I valued, and the kind of impact I wanted to make. That journey eventually led me to True Vision Creative Solutions, which feels less like a destination and more like an authentic reflection of everything I’ve learned along the way.
Another defining chapter was becoming a mother. Motherhood challenged me to think beyond myself and decide what kind of example I wanted to set. I had to ask myself whether I would allow fear or circumstance to become an excuse for not pursuing my dreams, or whether I would show my daughter that it’s possible to build a meaningful life regardless of the hand you’ve been dealt. That decision continues to shape the way I live and create.
Although people often know me through photography, workshops, or entrepreneurship, I’ve never felt that my purpose was confined to any one of those things. Creativity has always been the common thread. I believe it gives us permission to heal, grow, tell the truth about where we are, and imagine where we want to go next.
Looking back now, I believe every chapter of my life was preparing me to become brave enough to show up authentically, even after hardship, trauma, and confusion. Every experience revealed another layer of who I am and reminded me that my life has purpose. I believe I was created to make an impact, and creativity has become one of the ways I live out that calling.
If there’s one thing I hope people understand about me beyond what they see online, it’s that my smile is one of the greatest miracles God has given me. It represents joy that has been hard-earned. This journey hasn’t been easy, but it has been worth every lesson because of the lives it has allowed me to touch along the way.
If I had to summarize my journey in one sentence, I would say it has been a journey of a thousand mirrors, leading to a deeper revelation of self through resilience.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not at all. Like many entrepreneurs, my journey has been filled with unexpected turns, uncertainty, and moments that required me to completely rethink what I believed success looked like. I’ve experienced financial hardship, rebranding, relocating across the country, balancing entrepreneurship with motherhood, and navigating seasons where it felt like life was asking me to let go of everything familiar.
Some of the greatest challenges weren’t business challenges at all. They were personal ones. They required me to confront fear, self-doubt, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and the desire for outside validation. I realized that entrepreneurship wasn’t just teaching me how to build a business; it was teaching me how to build myself.
There have been times when I believed I had finally found the answer, only to realize I was being called in a different direction. I’ve pivoted more times than I can count, but each pivot revealed something I couldn’t see before. Instead of viewing those changes as failures, I’ve learned to see them as invitations to become more aligned with who I truly am and the impact I want to make.
One of the hardest lessons has been learning to release. Sometimes that meant releasing an idea. Sometimes it meant releasing expectations. Sometimes it meant accepting that a season had served its purpose, even when I wasn’t ready for it to end. Those moments were painful, but they also made room for growth that wouldn’t have been possible otherwise.
Today, I don’t see those experiences as setbacks. I see them as part of my education. They’ve given me empathy, resilience, discernment, and a deeper understanding of what it means to move through life’s transitions with intention. Every lesson has shaped the way I lead, create, and serve others.
I’ve learned that success isn’t just about what you build, it’s also about who you’re becoming while you build it. Looking back, I wouldn’t trade the lessons for an easier road because they shaped the person I am today.

Today, I describe myself as a multidisciplinary creative and the founder of True Vision Creative Solutions. My work spans photography, creative consulting, workshops, publications, event experiences, and handcrafted products, but the common thread through all of it is helping people navigate life with greater clarity, authenticity, and intention.
I don’t believe creativity belongs in one category. Whether I’m behind a camera, facilitating a workshop, writing, designing a publication, or creating handcrafted pieces, I’m always asking the same question: How can this experience help someone see themselves, their journey, or their future more clearly?
Over the years, I’ve become known for creating meaningful experiences rather than simply offering services. I enjoy bringing people together, asking thought-provoking questions, and creating environments where creativity becomes a catalyst for reflection, growth, and connection. My work is rooted in the belief that creativity isn’t just something we make. It’s something that transforms us.
What I’m most proud of isn’t any single project. It’s the fact that I’ve continued to evolve without losing sight of my purpose. Every season has challenged me to grow, and instead of allowing those experiences to define me, I’ve allowed them to refine me. That evolution has made my work more authentic because it reflects who I truly am rather than who I thought I needed to be.
I believe what sets me apart is that I don’t separate creativity from personal growth. Many people create beautiful things, and many people inspire others. I strive to do both at the same time. Whether someone leaves with a photograph, a workshop workbook, a handcrafted piece, or simply a new perspective, my hope is that they leave feeling more connected to themselves than when they arrived.
At the heart of everything I create is one simple goal: to inspire people to honor where they are, embrace who they’re becoming, and recognize that every transition holds the potential for transformation.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
One of my favorite memories growing up wasn’t a single moment, it was a season of my life when I began to feel truly seen for who I was. As a creative child, I often experienced the world differently. While I didn’t always feel understood at home, I was fortunate to have people in my life who encouraged every part of my creativity. They celebrated my dancing, poetry, singing, jewelry, photography before I even knew where those gifts would lead.
Those experiences gave me something I didn’t realize I needed at the time: permission to be myself.
Looking back, I think that’s why creativity has remained such a constant in my life. It became more than something I enjoyed doing, it became a place where I felt free. Those early experiences taught me the power of believing in someone before they fully believe in themselves, and they’ve shaped the way I encourage others today.
