Check Out Dr. Katrice Noble’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Katrice Noble.

Dr. Noble, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Hello, I’m Dr. Katrice Noble from Chicago, Illinois. My story began on the west side of Chicago in a poverty-stricken area that was destined for failure because of the environment, gangs, and drugs. At a young age, a special teacher exposed me to lifestyles outside of my norm. These experiences planted seeds in me that continue to manifest even today.

When I entered high school, I was encouraged to attend a school outside of my neighborhood which opened my eyes to new possibilities.  It was the first time intermingling with Middle-Class African American families. Here, I was able to understand the true differences between the lower and middle classifications which shaped my thoughts on the importance of going to college to make a better way for myself and my future.

I attended Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and received a degree in Education. In 2000, I received a Master’s Degree in Education Administration. I served as a teacher with St. Louis Public Schools for 6 years and then as an Assistant Principal for 3. In 2005, I landed my dream job as the principal for Lift For Life Academy.  Because I have always strived to become better in my craft, I accomplished a major milestone and graduated with my Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership from Maryville University in 2011.

In 2012, I was promoted to Deputy Director where I continuously serve today. Here, I’m able to impact the lives of many students, families, teachers, and faculty. I serve to assist in breaking generational curses and making future generations better. I am elated in seeing students flourish in spite of the many adversities that they may face. My purpose is to empower others that they too can achieve no matter what circumstances they were born into or may face. I am a Change Agent.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
My journey has not been smooth but one that I would not change.  The adversities that I faced growing up shaped me into the woman/leader that I am today.  I am proud to be an overcomer. I am proud of my mother who gave birth to me at just 14 years of age. I have excelled in spite of not ever knowing my father and having the void of not being validated by a dad.

The worst experience for me growing up was the main generational curse of serious drug abuse that plagued my family. Because of the abuse, I experienced many deaths in my immediate family from drug use. I am however proud to announce that my mother has been clean and clear of drugs for 25 years after being affected for approximately 20 years of my life.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?

I am happily married (Mr. Sean Noble) with 6 children ranging from ages 16 to 30.

I am currently the Deputy Director for Lift For Life Academy.

I am known for being a change agent and assisting others to achieve greatness.

I am most proud of the growth of our Academy and the many lives that I impact from year to year. I am not only helping students right now but for generations to come.

I consider Lift For Life Academy as the Best Kept Secret. We now have a lineage of families that continuously trust us in educating and leading their children.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
My advice for others is to make sure that you are serving your purpose. This is not an easy task and will take perseverance, commitment and dedication. When you are walking in your purpose, it will never feel like work or a job but a Mission.
