Hi Haley, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
Hi there, I am Haley Jarrells! I am a social media influencer in the St. Louis region. I have been doing social media work for about a year and the growth I’ve had in a year is insane. I never thought I could consider something like this a job.
Previously, I lived in Nashville pursuing a music career. I’ve always been up to date on all social media, but my page has transformed from music to a lifestyle account. I still am doing my music but more focusing on influencing. I love all things social media!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
The hardest part is getting started. From the judgment of overs to getting your first paid collaborations. I have learned so much this year, it was more of a trial and error for me, but now I feel like I understand what needs to be done. If you want something, just go for it!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I think that influencing is an art in ways because you get to express yourself and your personality through pictures or videos. I mostly just post about fashion-related content, but I am for sure going to get back into my music career for 2022.
I am proud of myself and the progress I’ve made this year. I started off only getting paid smaller amounts, and I am ending my last month in the highest collaboration yet (hopefully it only goes up from here).
Risk-taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I am a risk-taker. After high school, I did not take the typical route like going to college and things like that. I moved to Nashville to pursue a music career and now that has landed me more into my love for social media. Life is way too short to not have fun and do the things that you love.
I just knew I could never see myself working a 9-5 desk job forever, so I am so grateful I found something that I adore.
