Check Out Susan Harris’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Susan Harris.

Hi Susan, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
If you had asked me years ago where I saw myself today, I’m not sure I could have imagined this exact path, and that’s what makes it so special.

I built my career in marketing and events, working at an agency and now for a global tech company, creating experiences that connect people and ideas. I love the energy of it — the strategy, the creativity, the constant evolution.

At home, I’m a proud mom to three tween girls in a blended family. Getting remarried and navigating a new chapter of family life gave me a deeper appreciation for celebrating everyday moments — the small wins, the chaos, the beauty in the in-between. That perspective naturally spilled into my passion for fashion, beauty, and lifestyle content.

Somewhere between juggling work deadlines, school projects, kids activities, and family dinners, I started sharing pieces of our life. The fashion finds that made me feel a little more polished on busy mornings, the beauty products that helped me carve out five minutes for myself, and the everyday moments that made it all worth it.

What started as a creative outlet on the side is growing into something bigger: a space where I can connect with other women navigating similar seasons.

Every piece of my journey — corporate leader, proud girl mom, creative entrepreneur — has shaped who I am. And now, I get to show my daughters every day that you don’t have to choose just one dream, you can build a life that holds them all.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road!
Balancing a full-time corporate career while building a personal brand as a creator and influencer isn’t easy. There are moments of self-doubt, burnout, and the challenge of making space for creativity after long workdays. Add in the demands of raising three tween girls, it’s safe to say that life isn’t always perfectly balanced.
One of the biggest struggles was giving myself permission to evolve. For a long time, I thought I had to choose between being corporate, being creative, or being a mom. But over time, I realized that my strength was in blending those identities. Showing up authentically, whether in the boardroom, on Instagram, or at home. The struggles shaped me into someone more resilient, more grounded, and excited for what’s to come!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
As an influencer and content creator, I focus on fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and motherhood with a goal of making elevated everyday style feel inspiring and achievable.
Beyond sharing products, I’m passionate about building community and supporting St. Louis small businesses. One of my proudest moments was co-hosting a local fashion show with another influencer to spotlight St. Louis boutiques and raise money for Rung for Women, an incredible nonprofit empowering women.
What sets me apart is that I’m not just creating content, I’m creating connections. Whether it’s meeting other creators in real life, supporting brands I love, or sharing real moments of working mom life, everything I do is about being authentic and sharing the not-so-perfect moments too!

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Just start. Seriously – start messy, start unsure, start even if you’re not 100% ready. It’s easy to overthink every step but the truth is, you learn by doing.
Also, don’t box yourself in. You can be a corporate leader and a creative. A busy mom and a business builder. Real life is what people want to see.
Focus on community over comparison. Build genuine connections. Celebrate the small wins.
And remember: you don’t need a million followers to make a real impact — you just need to show up as yourself.
