Chloe Alexander of St. Louis on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Chloe Alexander. Check out our conversation below.

Chloe, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
In this current season of my life, I’ve been called to speak publicly more and more. While I won’t say I’m without fear, the confidence I have in Christ empowers me to walk boldly in my calling, regardless of how I feel.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hey everyone! I’m Chloé Alexander. In this season of my life, I’ve embraced my role as a content creator and co-founder of the women’s ministry, *Holy Steppas*. Through these endeavors, I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to explore beauty in a whole new way, both behind the camera and in how I pour into the lives of others.

The last time I had the honor of being featured in an interview with Voyage STL was back in 2020. At that time, I was a fashion stylist, still discovering my path. Fashion is still a deep passion of mine, but over time, Jesus has expanded my vision and allowed me to use my gifts in ways I never imagined. What once started as a love for styling has now grown into a purpose-driven mission where creativity, ministry, and authenticity meet.

This journey has been anything but ordinary, but I’m grateful for every twist, turn, and lesson along the way. I’m excited for what’s ahead and honored to continue walking boldly in the calling God has placed on my life.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
Wow! This is a deep yet powerful question. I believe there are many things that could drive a wedge between people however the main sources are usually pride, offense or envy. The reason I say this is because if we think about love we should always reference 1 Corinthians 13:4 which tells us that love is patient, love is kind. it does not envy. It does not boast, it is not proud. That sums up those reasonings I provided. Now, on to how we restore them I will refrence Galatians 5:22-23 but the fruit that comes from having the Holy Spirit in our lives is: love, joy, peace, not giving up, being kind, being good, having faith, being gentle, and being the boss over our own desires. This is how we restore broken bonds between people!

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
If I could tell my younger self one kind thing, it would be this: You are loved.
That’s it.. simple, but powerful.

Growing up, and even well into adulthood, I struggled to accept love.. from others, even from those closest to me. Over time, as I began to do the inner work and really unpack that struggle, I came to understand something deeper. The inability to receive love wasn’t just emotional, it was spiritual. It was a tactic of the adversary, designed to chip away at my confidence, my calling, and the ministry God placed in me.

But as I matured and allowed truth to take root, I started to see things differently. I looked around and realized: love has always been there. Surrounding me. Waiting for me to see it. I just needed to remember what love truly is, and more importantly, who love is.

Perfect love is found in Christ. And in Him, I am fully known and fully loved.
So, back to that younger version of me…

I’d simply say: You are loved. Always have been. Always will be.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
More than ever, I say this because I’ve been called to a space of transparency among my peers.
In embracing that call, I’ve found the courage to speak openly about some of the darkest chapters of my life, because I’ve been set free in Christ.

That freedom has given me a voice, not just for myself, but for others who may still be wrestling in silence. I’ve come to realize that there’s no other way for me to show up in this world, no other way for my public image to truly reflect who I am, except through authenticity.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. If you laid down your name, role, and possessions—what would remain?
My faith… it’s the one thing that remains when everything else is stripped away.
If all the titles, possessions, and platforms were gone, what I’d have left is my trust in God.
My faith in Jesus is my foundation, unchanging, unshakable.
When all else fades, He is the only one I can truly rely on.
