Community Highlights: Meet Allen B of Ag Photography

Today we’d like to introduce you to Allen B.

Hi Allen, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Graduate of Jackson State who picked up Photography as an internship and knew that it was something I wanted to do right away. Didn’t really know where it would take me. I was inspired by local photographers in Jackson Mississippi. At the time, I was working for a temp service in Jackson and I knew I really wanted to own a business and Photography fell in my lap. I took it serious from the beginning. I listen to my mentors. I had a male and female mentor. I was able to watch them flourish into great great business professionals which lit a fire under me. After grad school at Lindenwood, I open up a studio in St. Louis County in 2011 where I am currently still located with my office manager.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
With any business finding help and someone who is dedicated to the craft like me is challenging. I try to stay positive and keep an open line of communication with others and I’ve learned by helping others reach their goal, I can better reach mine.
