Today we’d like to introduce you to Angela Brown.
Angela, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I didn’t start in this space because everything was easy for me—I started because nothing was working.
For years, I did what most women are told to do. I ate “healthy,” exercised consistently, and followed all the traditional weight loss advice… but my body wasn’t responding. I was dealing with hypothyroidism and Hashimoto’s, and no matter how hard I tried, I felt stuck in a body I didn’t recognize.
What frustrated me the most wasn’t just the physical symptoms—it was being told that everything was “normal.” My labs looked fine on paper, yet I was exhausted, struggling with my weight, and constantly starting over.
That’s when I realized I needed to stop following generic advice and start understanding what was actually going on in my body.
I dove deep into functional health, advanced testing, and metabolism-focused strategies. Instead of dieting harder or adding more cardio, I focused on supporting my thyroid, balancing my hormones, and rebuilding my metabolism from the inside out.
That shift changed everything.
I was able to lose over 40 pounds, improve my symptoms, and put my Hashimoto’s into remission—not through restriction, but through a more strategic, personalized approach. So I decided to stop practicing in the clinic as a physical therapist and got certified as a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner.
Now, as a Functional Thyroid & Hormone Health Coach, I help other women do the same. I created a program called ReBalance to help women all over the world.
I work with women who feel like they’re doing everything “right” but still aren’t seeing results. Inside my programs, we go beyond basic advice and use advanced functional testing to uncover root causes—so we can create a plan that actually works for their body.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all—it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road.
One of the biggest challenges early on was unlearning everything I thought I “should” be doing. I had spent years believing that if I just ate less, worked out more, and stayed disciplined enough, my body would eventually respond. Letting go of that mindset—and trusting a completely different approach—was uncomfortable and honestly a little scary.
There was also a lot of frustration in not getting clear answers right away. When you’re dealing with thyroid and hormone issues, it’s rarely a quick fix. It took time, testing, and patience to understand what my body actually needed. There were moments where I questioned if anything would work, especially after doing “all the right things” for so long without results.
As I built my business, there were challenges there too. Explaining a more nuanced, root-cause approach in a world that promotes quick fixes isn’t always easy. A lot of women come in expecting another diet or a fast result, so part of my journey has been learning how to communicate that real, lasting change takes a different strategy.
But looking back, those struggles are exactly what shaped how I coach today.
They taught me how to look deeper, how to be patient with the process, and how to support women not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. Because I’ve been in that place of feeling stuck and unheard, I understand what my clients are going through on a much deeper level—and that’s what allows me to truly help them move forward.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Angela Brown Coach ?
My business is centered around helping women with thyroid and hormone imbalances finally get answers—and results—that actually last.
I specialize in working with women who feel like they’re doing everything “right” but still can’t lose weight, don’t feel like themselves, or have been told their labs are “normal” when they clearly don’t feel normal. My focus is on hypothyroidism, Hashimoto’s, and hormone-related weight loss resistance.
What I do differently is go beyond surface-level advice.
Instead of handing out another generic meal plan or telling someone to just be more consistent, I use advanced functional testing—like HTMA, hormone testing, and gut testing—to uncover the root causes behind why their body isn’t responding. From there, I create a personalized strategy around nutrition, training, and lifestyle that actually supports their metabolism and thyroid function.
What I’m most known for is helping women lose weight without extremes.
No cutting carbs to nothing.
No hours of cardio.
No starting over every Monday.
I teach women how to fuel their body in a way that supports their hormones so they can see results—and maintain them.
What really sets me apart is that I’ve lived this.
I didn’t just study this in a textbook—I went through it myself. I lost over 40 pounds with hypothyroidism, put my Hashimoto’s into remission, and rebuilt my metabolism after years of doing the wrong things. That lived experience, combined with my clinical training, allows me to coach at a deeper level.
Brand-wise, what I’m most proud of is the trust I’ve built with my audience.
Women come to me when they feel stuck, frustrated, and overlooked—and I don’t take that lightly. My goal has always been to create a space where they feel heard, supported, and guided with a clear, strategic plan.
If there’s one thing I want readers to know, it’s this:
You’re not broken—and your body isn’t the problem.
You just haven’t been given the right information or strategy yet.
And that’s exactly what I help women find.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I define success very differently than I used to.
It’s no longer just about a number on the scale or hitting a certain goal—it’s about alignment, sustainability, and how you actually feel in your life.
Personally, success means waking up with energy, feeling confident in my body, and not having my day revolve around food, workouts, or stress about doing everything “perfectly.” It’s having a routine that supports my health, my family, and my business—without constantly feeling like I’m starting over.
In my business, success is seeing my clients experience that same shift.
Yes, the weight loss and physical changes matter—but what I’m really focused on is helping women feel in control of their body again. When a client can go on vacation, enjoy her life, and still feel good in her body… when she no longer feels confused about what to eat or frustrated that nothing is working—that’s success to me.
It’s also building a business that’s rooted in integrity.
In an industry full of quick fixes and extremes, success for me is staying true to a more sustainable, root-cause approach—even when it would be easier to sell something faster or simpler.
At the end of the day, success is helping women create results they can actually keep—and a life where they feel like themselves again.
