Community Highlights: Meet Jazmin Wright of The Jazmin Effect

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jazmin Wright.

Hi Jazmin, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
The Jazmin Effect started on December 31, 2023, from my love for skincare, self care, and helping women feel good about themselves. I always knew I wanted to build something of my own and create an experience where people could come in, relax, feel comfortable, and leave feeling better than when they came in.

As I continued growing my business and becoming a licensed esthetician, I found myself really connecting with women and wanting to focus on services that support women through different stages of life, especially prenatal and postpartum care. I also wanted to make self care more convenient and personal, which is what led me to offer mobile services.

The Jazmin Effect is personal for me because self care became something I needed in my own life. After becoming a new mom and navigating single parenthood during COVID, I spent years fighting through undiagnosed postpartum depression while trying to be everything my family needed. Looking back, I wish I had someone like me back then. Someone who could come into my space, give me a moment to breathe, and remind me that I deserved to take care of myself too.

Knowing that I can now be that person for another mom is one of the most satisfying parts of what I do. Knowing that I am the reason a mom can step outside of her normal routine for a moment and take time for herself means more to me than anything else. In a lot of ways, The Jazmin Effect has become my therapy too. I get to turn something I struggled through into something that can positively impact other women and families.

Getting to where I am today has not always been easy. I have had to balance being a mom, going to school, working, and building my business at the same time. I have had to learn a lot along the way, figure things out as I go, and keep pushing even when things did not go exactly how I planned.

Today, The Jazmin Effect is more than just a business to me. It is something I built from the ground up for me and my family, but also for other families alike. My goal is to continue growing a brand that women trust, a space where they feel cared for, and a business that reminds women that taking care of themselves matters too.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it definitely has not been a smooth road. One of my biggest struggles has been learning how to balance being a mother and being a business owner. As my child gets older and my business continues to grow, sometimes I honestly feel like I have two kids. Both require my time, attention, patience, and consistency, and both depend on me to keep showing up. I have had to walk away from things, opportunities, and even relationships that tried to take priority over the things I was building. Sometimes that meant making decisions that other people did not understand or agree with. When you are building something of your own, especially when the people around you have never been through it themselves, it can be hard to explain why certain things have to come first. I have had to learn how to defend my business, my time, and the vision I have for my future even when the people around me did not fully understand what I was going through. There have been times when I felt like I was figuring everything out by myself, but those moments also taught me to trust myself and stand behind the decisions I make for my business and my family. It has not been easy, but every challenge has made me more intentional about what I want The Jazmin Effect to become. I have learned that building a business is not just about making money. It is about sacrifice, consistency, knowing when to say no, and being willing to protect what you are building until other people can finally see the vision too.

We’ve been impressed with The Jazmin Effect , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The Jazmin Effect is a skincare and self care business created with women in mind, especially moms and women who are constantly taking care of everyone else and rarely make time for themselves. I am a licensed esthetician and specialize in personalized skincare and self care experiences, with a focus on prenatal and postpartum clients. I also offer mobile services because I understand that sometimes getting out of the house and making time for yourself is the hardest part.

I offer mommy focused treatments and services designed specifically around the needs of moms, along with care packages that give women the opportunity to prioritize themselves even when life is busy. These services are about more than skincare. They are about creating a moment where a mom can step away from her normal routine, relax, and feel cared for.

What sets The Jazmin Effect apart is that I am not just providing a service. I am creating an experience. I want my clients to feel comfortable, cared for, and able to truly disconnect from everything they have going on for a moment. I meet women where they are, literally and emotionally, and I understand that self care can look different for everyone.

One thing I am especially proud of is the identity and purpose behind my brand. The Jazmin Effect is not just about skincare or looking good. It is about how you feel when you leave. I want women to feel refreshed, confident, seen, and reminded that they deserve to take care of themselves too.

I am also proud that my brand comes from a real place. I know what it feels like to constantly put yourself last, and that is a big part of why I created this business. I want to give women the experience that I wish I had during some of the hardest seasons of my own life.

My vision for The Jazmin Effect is bigger than offering facials. I want to build a wellness center that offers resources, specialists, and daycare professionals so that we eliminate the excuses and stigma associated with this profession. I want to create a space where moms can come as they are, get the care they need, and know that their children and other responsibilities do not have to prevent them from taking care of themselves. At the heart of everything I do is the belief that taking care of yourself should not have to feel impossible, especially for moms.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Over the next 5 to 10 years, I see The Jazmin Effect growing into something much bigger than a skincare business. I want it to become a wellness brand focused on the whole woman, especially moms who are constantly taking care of everyone else. I want to continue expanding my mommy treatments, self care services, and care packages while working toward my long term goal of creating a wellness center that brings together esthetics, wellness resources, specialists, and daycare professionals. I want to make it easier for moms to take care of themselves without having to choose between their own well being and their families.

I also see The Jazmin Effect connecting with my nonprofit vision, the P.E.R. Initiative, which would focus on empowering mothers through mentorship, education, wellness, leadership development, entrepreneurship, scholarships, and community support. I want to build something that does more than make women feel good for a moment. I want to create resources and opportunities that can actually impact their lives and their families. Ultimately, I want The Jazmin Effect to grow in impact, not just in size, and become a brand that is known for supporting women, strengthening families, and making self care and personal growth feel possible.
