Community Highlights: Meet Jeanetta Roberts of Jeanetta Sells Homes, OpsAxis, and InstaGlee Photo Booths

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeanetta Roberts.

Hi Jeanetta, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’ve been entrepreneurial for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I was creating hand-drawn celebrity gossip newsletters inspired by BOP magazine and going door-to-door trying to sell them to neighbors. I ran lemonade stands in my front yard and even worked at a local diner owned by a friend’s family, serving customers and earning tips before I was old enough for a traditional job.

That drive to build and create followed me into adulthood. Over the years, I’ve owned a photography business, an Etsy shop selling hand-stamped jewelry and vinyl decals, worked as a virtual assistant, explored blogging, and built experience across operations, marketing, customer service, and business management.

Today, I own multiple businesses, including my real estate business, Jeanetta Sells Homes, OpsAxis, and InstaGlee Photo Booths. While they’re all very different, they share one common theme: helping people. Looking back, I feel like I’ve been working toward entrepreneurship since the fourth grade. Every experience along the way has helped shape the business owner I am today.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not. Like most entrepreneurs, I’ve had successes, failures, and plenty of lessons learned along the way.

One challenge I’ve faced throughout my life and career is ADHD. While it comes with strengths like creativity, problem-solving, and the ability to think outside the box, it can also make consistency, focus, time management, and energy levels a challenge. Some days I feel like I can accomplish ten things at once, and other days it takes extra effort just to stay on track. Learning how to work with my brain instead of against it has been an ongoing journey.

Another lesson came from my photography business. For several years, I photographed weddings and portraits professionally, but eventually realized that what I truly loved about photography wasn’t the business side of it. I loved chasing unique images, creative perspectives, and photographs that felt like art. Turning it into a career took much of the joy out of it for me, and I became so burned out that I put my camera away almost entirely. It’s something I still miss, and I hope someday I’ll rediscover that passion simply for the fun of creating.

I’ve also learned that entrepreneurship rarely follows a straight path. Over the years, I’ve explored photography, e-commerce, blogging, virtual assistance, operations, and real estate. Not every venture became a long-term business, but every one taught me something valuable.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that success isn’t about never struggling. It’s about adapting, staying resilient, and continuing to move forward even when the path isn’t perfectly clear. Looking back, many of the challenges I faced ultimately helped me become a better entrepreneur, leader, and problem solver.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about I have three, technically. Jeanetta Sells Homes, OpsAxis, and InstaGlee Photo Booths?
Today, I own and operate three businesses that may seem very different on the surface, but they’re all built around the same core mission: helping people and creating positive experiences.

My real estate business, Jeanetta Sells Homes, focuses on helping buyers and sellers throughout the St. Louis area. What sets me apart is that I don’t believe in high-pressure sales tactics. Buying or selling a home is one of the biggest decisions people will make, and my goal is to educate, guide, and support my clients so they can make confident decisions at their own pace. I want people to feel like they have a trusted resource in their corner, not just a salesperson.

My second business, OpsAxis, was created from years of experience working behind the scenes in real estate operations. Through OpsAxis, I provide transaction coordination, listing support, social media management, and administrative services for real estate professionals. Many agents are excellent at serving clients but struggle with the endless paperwork, systems, and tasks that happen behind the scenes. OpsAxis helps create structure and support so agents can focus on what they do best. One of the things I’m most proud of is helping other entrepreneurs grow their businesses while reducing some of the overwhelm that often comes with it.

My third business, InstaGlee Photo Booths, brings a completely different kind of joy. We provide modern photo booth experiences for weddings, parties, corporate events, and celebrations throughout the St. Louis area. While it may seem very different from real estate and operations, it still comes back to creating memorable experiences and helping people celebrate important moments in their lives.

If there’s one thing I want people to know about my brands, it’s that relationships come first. Whether someone is buying a home, hiring support for their business, or booking a photo booth for a special event, I want them to feel genuinely cared for. I’ve never been interested in being the biggest company in the room. I’ve always been more interested in being the one people trust, remember, and recommend because of the experience they had.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud that each business reflects who I am. They’re built on authenticity, service, and a genuine desire to help people. In a world that often feels automated and transactional, I believe there’s still tremendous value in showing up, building relationships, and treating people like more than just a number.

What’s next?
I’m excited about what the future holds, both personally and professionally.

Personally, I hope marriage is in my future again. I’ve found someone who makes me excited about the next chapter of life, and I’m looking forward to seeing where that journey leads.

Professionally, I’d love to continue growing my businesses and eventually step into more of a leadership and mentorship role. In real estate, one of my goals is to build a team of agents who share my values and passion for serving others. Long-term, I’d like to focus more on ownership, vision, and mentoring while the businesses continue to operate successfully.

I’m also eager to expand into real estate investing. Purchasing my first Airbnb is a goal I’m actively working toward, and I’m excited to explore the opportunities that come with building long-term wealth through real estate.

Another dream of mine is to create a program or nonprofit that helps educate, empower, and support young entrepreneurs. Since I started my own entrepreneurial journey at a young age, I’d love to help other kids learn business skills, gain confidence, and pursue their ideas.

In many ways, that mission has already started at home. My teenage daughters help me with InstaGlee Photo Booths, where they’re learning customer service, marketing, and the fundamentals of running a business. I hope those experiences help them pursue their own entrepreneurial dreams, and I’d love to eventually pass the business on to them.

More than anything, I’m working toward creating financial freedom and generational wealth for my family. My goal isn’t just to build successful businesses, but to create opportunities that will benefit my children, future grandchildren, and hopefully others for years to come.
