Hi Katrina, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m Katrina Blasdel, the owner and esthetician behind Katrina Skin Studio. I’m from the St. Louis Metro East. I’ve been in the esthetics industry since 2019 and have always had a passion for skincare because of my own struggles with acne growing up. Feeling insecure in my skin at a young age made me realize how deeply skin confidence can affect someone’s everyday life, and that’s what ultimately led me into this career.
Over the years, I worked in different day spas and med spas throughout St. Louis where I continued my education, learned various techniques, and gained experience with many professional skincare lines and treatment styles. Eventually, I decided to create a space of my own that blended results-driven treatments with a relaxing, welcoming experience.
At Katrina Skin Studio, I focus on customized skincare treatments that support long-term skin health while also helping clients feel confident and cared for. My goal has always been to create a space where people feel comfortable, educated, and genuinely supported throughout their skin journey.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One of the biggest challenges has been learning how to grow a business while also growing personally and professionally at the same time. As a business owner, there’s a lot that happens behind the scenes beyond just providing services — building client relationships, marketing, continuing education, managing schedules, and creating an experience that feels consistent and intentional.
Over time, I’ve learned the importance of trusting myself, staying adaptable, and remaining patient through every stage of growth. Building a loyal clientele and creating a space that reflects my vision didn’t happen overnight, so I’m proud of how far Katrina Skin Studio has come.
What I’m most proud of is the impact my business has had on my clients’ confidence. Seeing people become more comfortable in their skin and trust me throughout their journey is incredibly rewarding. I’m also proud that I was able to turn something I’ve been passionate about for so long into a business that truly reflects who I am and the experience I want clients to have.

My work focuses on helping clients achieve healthier, more confident skin through customized treatments and education. I specialize in creating personalized skincare experiences because I believe every person’s skin is different and should be treated that way. I offer services such as custom facials, chemical peels, microneedling, lash lifts, brow services, and corrective skincare treatments designed to support long-term skin health.
A big part of my work is also educating clients about their skin and helping them build realistic routines that fit their lifestyle and goals. I love combining results-driven treatments with a relaxing experience so clients not only see improvements in their skin, but also feel cared for and comfortable during their appointments.
One of my favorite parts of this work is building relationships with clients and being part of their confidence journey. Seeing someone feel better about themselves because of the progress they’ve made in their skin is always rewarding for me.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
Luck has definitely played a role in certain opportunities and connections throughout my journey, but I think preparation and consistency are what allowed me to make the most of those opportunities. Building a business takes a lot of hard work behind the scenes, especially in an industry that’s constantly evolving.
I’ve been fortunate to have supportive clients who trust me with their skin and continue to refer others, and I never take that for granted. I also think social media and word-of-mouth have helped connect me with the right people at the right time. At the same time, I’ve spent years continuing my education, refining my craft, and staying committed to creating a positive experience for every client who walks into my studio.
