Hi Emrita, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I came to America from Bosnia after the war changed the course of my life. Even through those difficult times, I always carried a passion for hair and makeup with me. Starting over in a new country was not easy, but it gave me the opportunity to rediscover what truly made me happy. Through hard work, determination, and creativity, I was able to reconnect with my passion and turn it into something meaningful. My goal is to build a better future for myself and my family while helping others feel confident and beautiful in their own skin. Today, I am proud to pursue a career doing what I love and making people feel better about themselves every day.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not always! Self-doubt has been one of my biggest struggles when doing hair and makeup. It’s easy to focus on small mistakes and compare yourself to others. But I am learning that it’s a part of growth and becoming more confident in my craft.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am proud that I have been able to build a better future for myself and my family while doing something I truly love. Most importantly, I am proud to help people feel more confident, beautiful, and comfortable in their own skin every day.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
My family and friends deserve the most credit in my success. They’ve supported me, encouraged me, and believed in me even when I doubted myself.
I’ve also learned from mentors in the beauty industry who guided me, taught me new techniques, and helped me grow more confident and patient in my work.
