Today we’d like to introduce you to Grace Todd.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I am a travel Makeup artist of 9 plus years I started when I was right out of high school in 2016 and have been a travel artist ever since! I am a self taught makeup artist. Of course now I have my certifications but i taught myself everything I know. I love what I do it doesn’t feel like work and never has. I love to express my creativity when doing makeup it’s the only time I feel like I can escape reality.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
You have bad weeks and you have good weeks as a MUA but usually the good make up for the bad but I have always known this was my path because it’s always worked out for me no matter what else in life didn’t. It’s always been a smooth road with my makeup journey.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a travel makeup artist (MUA) i specialize in event makeup for weddings, formals, photo shoots, and any special occasion or event. I feel like you don’t need a special event to feel beautiful I do clients makeup just for a pampering day as well. I’m known for my makeup skills that set me apart from others and my full glam looks. I also offer makeup classes and consultations I think these help set me apart from others too because I offer several services as far as teaching makeup as well. I am the most proud of never giving up and having all the years of experience to give each and every client the look they desire. I think my dedication sets apart from others too especially on weddings when you have to be up at sometimes 3 and 4 am to hit the road to get to the venue depending on the travel distance.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Never give up and always keep going! Stand your ground with people and stick to your policies and be professional. Do not let people walk all over you and don’t let anyone talk you down from your desired pay that you deserve.
