Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan “Jordiee” Daye.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I never planned on becoming a fashion designer—it honestly just happened because I couldn’t stop creating. I’ve always loved making things with my hands and bringing ideas to life.
In 2016, I was working alongside another dress designer when I realized I wanted to create something completely different, something that felt bold, unexpected, and uniquely mine. That’s when I decided to branch off and start Kraze Krystals.
In the beginning, I wasn’t making gowns or embellished heels. I started by designing custom rhinestone bras, swimwear, and statement wings. My vision was to become known for creating luxurious lingerie-inspired pieces and unforgettable wings that made women feel powerful, confident, and one of a kind. As I began showcasing my work in fashion shows, people started calling me the *The Urban Victoria’s Secret Designer.” Hearing that pushed me to dream even bigger.
What started as a passion for creating statement pieces slowly evolved into something much greater. Over the past ten years, Kraze Krystals has transformed into a luxury fashion house specializing in custom couture from **head to toe**. Today, I design couture gowns, swimwear, wings, crowns, body jewelry, costumes, accessories, and statement pieces that allow people to express themselves unapologetically.
My goal has never been to make people fit in, I want them to feel unforgettable.
The journey definitely hasn’t been a straight path. I’ve worn every hat imaginable: designer, seamstress, pattern maker, photographer, content creator, social media manager, accountant, customer service representative, shipping department… and probably therapist to myself a few times too. Every challenge has pushed me to become more creative, more resourceful, and more determined to keep building the vision I first imagined.
Watching someone put on one of my designs and instantly stand a little taller is still one of my favorite moments. That transformation is what keeps me inspired. To me, fashion is so much more than clothing, it’s confidence, storytelling, and wearable art. Every Kraze Krystals piece is created to help people embrace who they are, stand out without apology, and remind them that being different is their greatest luxury.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Smooth road? Absolutely not.
Building a business by yourself is one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. There have been moments when I’ve questioned everything, especially after investing thousands of dollars, sacrificing countless sleepless nights, and dedicating years of work without seeing the financial success I imagined. Being both the creative mind and the person responsible for running every part of the business can be mentally exhausting.
This year also brought one of the biggest personal losses of my life when I lost my sister. We were preparing for a fashion show together, and despite my grief, I still had to show up for rehearsals, my clients, and my team. The support and encouragement I received reminded me that resilience isn’t about pretending you’re okay, it’s about continuing to move forward, even when life feels incredibly heavy.
That experience, along with every other challenge I’ve faced, has shaped the way I approach both life and my business. I’ve learned patience, resilience, and the importance of trusting the process. Success isn’t always measured by how quickly you grow or how much money you make. Sometimes, success is simply refusing to quit and continuing to create, even when the road gets difficult.

I’m the Founder and Creative Director of Kraze Krystals, a luxury couture brand based in St. Louis.
I specialize in custom statement fashion, couture gowns, embellished swimwear, performance costumes, HIGH HEELS, wings, crowns, body jewelry, and one-of-a-kind wearable art. If it sparkles, has dramatic details, or makes people stop and stare… I’m probably interested in making it.
What I’m most proud of isn’t just the designs themselves, it’s the confidence they give people. I love watching someone transform the moment they put on one of my creations. That’s the magic.
I think what sets me apart is that I don’t follow trends very often. I create pieces that feel like an experience. Every rhinestone is placed with intention, every design starts with imagination, and I love pushing myself to make something people haven’t seen before. My brand has always been about encouraging people to be bold, be different, and take up space unapologetically.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
People often talk about luck, but honestly, I don’t think of my journey that way. I’ve never felt lucky, I feel blessed. God gave me the gift to create, and every day I choose to develop that gift, even when the results don’t come as quickly as I’d like.
There have been opportunities that I’m incredibly grateful for, like being selected for fashion shows and being featured in magazines, but I don’t see those as luck. They came because I kept showing up, creating, learning, and improving my craft. I believe the consistency I’ve built over the last year has opened more doors than ever before, and I can finally feel the momentum starting to build.
One thing I never take for granted is my support system. My family, friends, and the people who genuinely believe in my vision have encouraged me through some of my hardest seasons. Having people who support my dreams and give me the space to be creative has made an incredible difference in my journey.
I also believe the difficult seasons have been just as valuable as the exciting ones because they’ve shaped me into a stronger designer and business owner. If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that success doesn’t happen overnight. It comes from continuing to create, continuing to learn, and continuing to believe in your vision long before everyone else sees it. I truly believe that preparation creates opportunity, and when the right opportunities come, I’ll be ready for them.
