Hi 2 Smokn Chix cigars Llc, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
We started out as two friends smoking cigars, and during Covid we had the bright idea of launching a Cigar brand. After smoking, testing, blending and speaking with different manufacturers we finally came up with blends that we were satisfied with and three months later, we launched our brand October 2021. It has been a labor of love! Just our love of cigars during a time when we had to social distance and had no access to cigar lounges. This dream literally was developed sitting our our decks smoking.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been an easy road, being minorities, and black women in a male dominated industry. The struggles of finding manufacturers as well as, not having people that wanted to help us succeed in our business with offering information pertaining to resources was not easy.
Unfortunately, in the St. Louis metro area popularity plays a huge role getting into certain rooms and trying to penetrate that wall has not been an easy task.
Also, financially, there were certain points in our business, that was a struggle.
Thankfully, with growth and maturity we have been able to navigate those obstacles.

So, I’m Charity & during the day I manage multiple dental practices. I’ve been in this field for 23 years! I have been able to develop a strong, patient focused office and learn various business tactics in that industry. Being able to increase growth has been beneficial with implementing certain aspects in our personal business. In this line of work, I get fulfillment in helping someone improve their overall Quality of life.
Mika has been a cosmetologist for 22 years making people feel and look beautiful daily, Most proud that I have learned the ins an outs of the beauty industry on my own and I absolutely love what I do!!
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
For us, it has been networking and being in the environment of the industry you’re wanting to be a part of. There is a wealth of knowledge and information that you can obtain just by sitting in those surroundings. When looking for a mentor you want to find someone that is as passionate about your craft as you are, and also someone who believes in you.
