Hi Cara , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My love for fashion started with my grandmother, whose impeccable style inspired me from a young age. While working in the corporate world, I became the go-to person for styling advice among friends and colleagues. After transitioning from corporate America, I turned my passion into a profession by studying the industry, honing my skills, and launching PhanC Consulting. Today, I help clients feel confident, polished, and empowered through personal style.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Like many entrepreneurs, my journey hasn’t been without challenges. One of the biggest obstacles was transitioning from the stability of corporate America into entrepreneurship. Building a business from the ground up required faith, consistency, and learning how to navigate uncertainty.
Another challenge was establishing credibility in a highly competitive fashion industry. I had to invest time in building my portfolio, growing my network, and proving my expertise one client at a time. There were moments when opportunities didn’t work out, clients changed direction, or projects took longer to develop than expected.
I’ve also experienced personal transformation along the way. As my confidence grew and my style evolved, I had to learn to embrace change, trust my vision, and continue showing up even when results weren’t immediate. Balancing business operations, marketing, client work, and personal life has required discipline and resilience.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that every setback has prepared me for the next opportunity. Those challenges helped shape not only the stylist I am today, but the businesswoman I’ve become.

What do you do?
I am a personal stylist, fashion consultant, and the owner of PhanC Consulting. I help women elevate their style, build confidence, and create wardrobes that align with their lifestyle, goals, and personal brand. My services include virtual styling, personal shopping, closet revamps, wardrobe essentials, and styling for special events, media appearances, and public figures.
What do you specialize in?
I specialize in helping women create polished, elevated, and intentional style. Whether it’s everyday fashion, corporate wear, dating looks, special events, or high-profile appearances, I focus on creating looks that make my clients feel confident and seen. I am especially passionate about styling midsize and curvy women and showing them how to embrace fashion without compromising comfort or confidence.
What are you known for?
I’m known for creating chic, feminine, and wearable looks that feel luxurious without always requiring a luxury budget. My clients know me for my attention to detail, my ability to mix high and low fashion, and my commitment to helping women discover their personal style. I’m also known for bringing a positive, confidence-building approach to styling that goes beyond clothing.
What are you most proud of?
I am most proud of taking a leap of faith and building my business from the ground up. Seeing my work on major stages, red carpets, and national platforms has been incredibly rewarding, but what means the most to me is the impact I have on my clients. Watching a woman look in the mirror and feel beautiful, confident, and empowered never gets old. I’m also proud of having the opportunity to style high-profile clients, including artists performing on some of the biggest stages in the country.

What sets me apart is that I don’t just style clothes—I help women transform how they see themselves. I take the time to understand each client’s lifestyle, personality, body shape, and goals so their wardrobe feels authentic to them. My approach is personal, intentional, and confidence-driven. I believe style should be accessible, empowering, and a reflection of who you are, not just what’s trending. Every client receives a customized experience designed to help them look good, feel good, and show up as their best self.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
My perspective on risk is simple: growth rarely happens inside your comfort zone. I believe in doing the research, making a plan, and then having the courage to take the leap. Not every risk will result in immediate success, but every risk can teach you something that moves you closer to your goals.
The greatest risk isn’t failing—it’s never giving yourself the chance to try.
