Daily Inspiration: Meet Cyrriah Lampkin

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cyrriah Lampkin.

Hi Cyrriah, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
To start off, I believe my story began back when I was in 8th grade, when I started writing/journaling. At first, I used to write just to escape from things but then it became something that I loved and wanted to spend the first of my life doing. I began writing what I wanted for myself and then I notice down the line as I would go back and read what had wrote, literally everything that I had wrote had came true in some way. I say that to say when I started my first because back in 2019 “abundleofriaah” which was retail selling lashes & fashion accessories. I had wrote that in a book I was writing and I’m thinking like hm that’s actually crazy because it came true. But now as I progress into a women I am now a beginner lash artist is the lake St. Louis area and that I feel that I’m meant to be where I am today. I believe in prayer and prayer actually works. If you put your mind and heart into something with God everything is possible! I also say that to say writing has been in my life for so long and that will continue to be my inspiration when I’m stuck and down.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Has there been any struggles along the road? Honestly yes! A family member once said to me “what is writing gonna do for you, you just writing thoughts!” And that stays with me till this day and it happened years and years ago. And I hear that all the time when I don’t have any inspiration. Also so family things that I won’t speak on has happened that also has held me back as well and also taking everything personal. I had to learn that just because you’re so called “friends & family” that doesn’t mean that they’re gonna support you!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
As of right now in my life I am a lash tech & I’m learning something new each and everyday ! I feel like I specialize in a few things because I’m always willing to learn something new. I am most known for my creativity & wild imagination. I am most people of myself with it comes to still seeing the good in people whether they’re hurt me or not & also just being myself in this world. I feel like what sets me apart from others is my drive for something that I want because I won’t stop until I get it and also staying true to myself and still having values & morals.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
To be honest, I don’t believe in “luck” because I believe everything happens for a reason to each and every person on this earth. God has set us apart for everyone & if you’re not where you’re at because you see someone else doing the same exact thing as you and the same age. Doesn’t mean you’re meant to be there. You don’t know what they went through to get where they are and they don’t know what you did to get as far as you did.
