Hi Darren, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Ten years ago, I found myself searching for direction and a meaningful way to channel my passion for helping others. A close friend named Julia Bramer formally introduced me to tarot, and soon after began teaching me. I started by reading for friends and family, already aware that I had a natural gift as a medium with insight into the spirit world.
For several years, I focused on tarot reading and built a business around it. As my experience grew, I expanded into additional creative services, including balloon twisting and décor, face painting, music entertainment, bubble parties, and more. I also offer airbrush body art — a skill I’ve practiced for more than 20 years, dating back to my college days.
What I enjoy most is connecting with new people and seeing my energy turn into ear‑to‑ear smiles at every event! With LuckyFunEnt, our goal is to make every celebration feel special, whether it’s a first birthday or an 80th. You can count on us to bring the fun.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The biggest struggle is the inconsistency of events. Some months we’re fully booked, while others are completely empty — a true feast‑or‑famine cycle. Keeping up with social media is also challenging. When I’m working an event, it’s often difficult to take my own photos or videos to help promote the company.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a jack of all trades who can apply myself to anything and find a way to get it done. My skills range from fine arts to handcrafts and handyman work. I also have extensive experience working with animals—including mammals, reptiles, and arachnids—in both training and care. Technology is another strength of mine, with experience in PC and phone repair.
