Today we’d like to introduce you to Miranda Malone.
Hi Miranda, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
In 2021, after corporate esthetics did me wrong, I found myself back at square one. I started over in a 300-square-foot room, offering only basic esthetic services. It was humbling, but I knew I wasn’t done. I had a bigger vision—one built on integrity, results, and truly caring for the people who trusted me with their skin.
By 2023, I had expanded into a 1,000-square-foot, doctor-style office and introduced advanced services like laser treatments, paramedical tattooing, tattoo removal, and holistic skin care. In 2025, I added a massage therapist to the team, and by 2026, my goal is to become a one-stop wellness destination offering a variety of health and skin services for long-term, transformative results.
I’m a science-based esthetician with a holistic and functional twist. I love the challenge of complex skin issues—the harder they are to treat, the more determined I am to help. I make it a priority to know my clients, love my clients, and educate my clients, because great skin is about more than just treatments—it’s about trust, connection, and results.
Philanthropy is also a huge part of who I am. After losing my mother, I started Elley’s Hope, a nonprofit that helps trauma survivors—including medical and accident victims, survivors of trafficking, veterans, and those recovering from gang violence—through branding and scar removal.
Every step of my journey has been about one mission: helping every single person who walks through my door love the skin they’re in, inside and out.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My journey has been anything but easy. In 2021, I was already navigating the grief of losing my mother when corporate esthetics turned its back on me. I had invested in trainers who gladly took my money but never truly trained me, and in education that promised much but delivered little. I learned quickly that in this industry, no one was going to fight for me but me—and I had to become my own fiercest advocate.
Starting over meant wearing every hat imaginable. I was the front desk, the marketing team, the bookkeeper, the check-in and check-out staff, the cleaning crew, and the technician—all in one. I handled every phone call, every transaction, and every client myself. Some days I was energized by the challenge; other days, I was simply exhausted.
The financial strain was heavy. There were months I survived only by working a second job, clocking extra hours late into the night just to keep my business alive. It was a constant balancing act between survival and growth, between exhaustion and determination.
But every sleepless night, every setback, every disappointment has shaped me. Those experiences taught me resilience, sharpened my instincts, and deepened my commitment to my craft. I’ve been underestimated, overlooked, and stretched thin, but I’ve also learned that grit is my greatest asset.
No matter how hard the road has been, I’ve never lost sight of my mission—or my pride in how far I’ve come.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m not the esthetician people come to first—I’m the one they find when nothing else has worked. My specialty lies in corrective skin services, and I’m drawn to the cases others consider “too complex” or “off limits.” When a client walks through my door, it’s often because they’ve exhausted every other option to feel comfortable in their skin. That’s where my magic begins—digging deep into the science, strategy, and care needed to transform not only their skin, but their confidence.
I’m relentless about my education, continuing to study both advanced esthetics and medical-based practices so my clients receive the very best in treatment innovation. My approach is about longevity of results, not quick, “greed-driven” services like so many med spas offer. Every plan I create is intentional, customized, and rooted in both clinical precision and holistic understanding.
I’m known as a listener, an advocate, and a pioneer in my craft—someone who blends science and compassion to achieve remarkable outcomes. I fight for my clients the same way I’ve fought for my own place in this industry. And while I may not yet be as widely known as I should be, I’m confident in one thing: the impact I make on every client who trusts me speaks louder than any recognition.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
#1 My Momma
She raised me in all the right ways, and without her insight, I wouldn’t be the fighter I am today. Her strength, wisdom, and unconditional love shaped every part of who I am.
#2 Angel Magasano, Founder of Little Black Book
Angel saw something in me—especially after the loss of my mother—that I couldn’t see in myself. Little Black Book, now nearly 500 women strong, has been my lifeline: keeping me together, building me up, and helping lay the foundation for my business success. Through constant mentorship, growth opportunities, and a sisterhood that refuses to let you fail, this organization has been a cornerstone of my personal and professional life. After 10 years, I still lean in and grow every day.
#3 My All-Time Mentor, Mark Hollander
I’m not sure he will ever fully grasp how grateful I am for him, but the impact he’s made is immeasurable. Through the Protégé mentorship program, Mark became far more than just a business mentor—he brought me back to life at a time when I was broken and felt worthless, when I couldn’t see the light. Our mentorship wasn’t just strategy and spreadsheets—it was filled with laughter, perspective, and the kind of encouragement that rekindles your spark. I like to think I was the pistol-spitfire who kept him on his toes, just as he inspired me to rise higher. I continue to be in awe of his accomplishments and the example he sets.
