Quitefranklee Thegoat

QUITEFRANKLEETHEGOAT
In his 15 years making music, Quitefrankleethegoat has gone through many transformations. From Kid Frankie to his current alias “Que,” he has consistently improved his craft by having touched all aspects of the music and media industry, from mixing and mastering all his projects to doing live production work for artists like MGK, Khelani, TheWeeknd, Mötley Crüe, and Def Leppard. His podcast The Snowball Effect- “Where small ideas turn into colossal conversations”- started in his home studio and landed him a spot at the Alumni Broadcasting Association studio in downtown St. Louis in 2021. The eldest brother to four sisters, QFLTG was raised all over St. Louis, and his music blends his love for old school hip hop with influence from his favorite artists like Andre 3000, Pharrell Williams, and Kanye “Ye” West, to name a few. He combines personal audio recordings and colorful lyricism to build a sound that brings you into his world and keeps his listeners satisfied by always bringing something fresh and unexpected. His musical catalog is extensive, with 2023 being his busiest year, having dropped a full-length album, “Wishing You Well,” a summer EP, “CALMDOWNFRANK,” and several singles throughout. On top of his many releases and production credits for other artists’ projects, he has made himself known in the underground scene in St. Louis with countless performances and appearances, including a featured artist spot on the Haus Party Tour. We can always expect the unexpected from Quitefrankleethegoat, but no matter what, it will be backed up by his passion for music and artists’ plight. To quote his lyrics-” this is who I am; I love to rap.”

Would it have been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
That’s a trick question, lol, Only because it’s based on perception where life has taken you or hasn’t. What’s been revealed, and what’s still hidden right before you? It’s a beauty but a paradox. With life comes death, and I think the biggest one for me is the loss of people who loved me or supported me who aren’t here. If that answers the question, it’s a motivator to put out my best work.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might need to become more familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a rapper/producer from St.Louis, MO. I also like to sing a bit or harmonize. I also create my beats and mix and master my work & and that of many other artists. I’ve been working on my craft since the age of 15. I’m most proud of the fact I recently went on tour. With more dates coming, too! I’ve worked for some names and shaken hands with some greats, but that is just the fruit of my labor. The main goal is the music. Always and always.

Have you learned any exciting or essential lessons due to the COVID-19 crisis?
Distance is okay, and we should be more mindful of personal hygiene—or, in other words, consideration.
