We’re looking forward to introducing you to Dr. Keith Driscoll . Check out our conversation below.
Keith , it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Seeing growth in young people, well in all people. It has really impressed me to see how many people want to grow
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello, my name is Keith Driscoll. I am the Masters Boxing champion for my age 64 in my weight class 165. I am married to the Beautiful Jennifer Driscoll. We have daughters Samaria, Amanda, Ciara, and Judaea. We have two dogs Pepe and Hector we are on two gyms for Boxing and we serve all ages. We are officials for USA Boxing. Personally, I am the oldest golden glove winner in St. Louis history. I’ve won three times. I also won the national championship three times of USA Boxers a box at 165 but I want way 240 pounds and I’m an advocate for fitness over 40.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
As a child I was always told that I was limited. it would only be able to obtain certain goals in my 20s. I was held back because of stereotypes in my 30s. I became a single parent and so I had to work. any job. in my 30s also obtained my masters degree and was able to do better for my first born. Then I met Jennifer in my late 50 and she helped and helps me understand that I can do anything at any age and not just achieve anything but that I can excel
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear of failure. I never want my family to be without. So I strive to be better every day and to make everyone around me be better or feel better
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
I believe being genuine is important. How I present myself is important so I don’t change some like it and others don’t but I have to be me. Hardworking, honest and fair
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What do you think people will most misunderstand about your legacy?
People will always displace my confidence for arrogance. I get humbled every day and I’m thankful for everything I’ve accomplished and have been blessed with. So I don’t walk with my head down and I will always try to let my light shine
