Hi Corrine, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’m a St. Louis native with a decade of digital marketing under my belt, I got my start in 2007 at YP, back when ‘digital’ was still the new frontier. I witnessed firsthand the massive shift from print to digital, eventually serving as a Cyber Sales Manager and earning three CEO Awards, Since then, I’ve navigated almost every facet of the industry—from being a top-tier performer at Abstrakt Marketing Group to running my own contracting business.

My path hasn’t always been linear—it’s included everything from high-level corporate sales to front-line community service during the pandemic—but every step has reinforced my adaptability. Today, I lead Marketing by Corrine, where I use that diverse background to help local businesses master their digital presence, improve retention, and ultimately, generate more profit through smart, custom-built solutions.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’ve definitely had my share of challenges. Operating an independent business like Love Birds Roofing taught me that ‘the buck stops with you.’ Managing complex contracts and independent sub-contractors in a high-stakes industry like construction is a trial by fire in leadership.

The biggest struggle was finding a balance between high-level strategy and the ‘boots on the ground’ reality of running a business. I’ve had to bounce back from industry shutdowns and career pivots, but those obstacles gave me a unique perspective. I don’t just see marketing from a corporate lens; I see it from the perspective of a business owner who knows what it’s like to fight for every lead and every dollar of profit.

I wouldn’t call it a smooth road—I’d call it a series of successful pivots. From winning awards at major firms like AT&T to being a frontline worker during the 2020 shutdowns, I’ve seen the St. Louis business world from every possible angle. The struggle was never about a lack of opportunity; it was about having the courage to adapt when the world changed. Whether it was the shift from print to digital or the total disruption of the pandemic, every obstacle forced me to sharpen my skills. Today, I’m grateful for those struggles because they turned me into a ‘solution-focused’ leader who doesn’t get rattled by a challenge.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Marketing by Corrine?
I provide custom digital solutions for business development and retention. Campaign strategy, development, and management. Specializing in Google Ads, Google Local/Guaranteed, social media, blogs, websites, SEO/SEM, content creation/marketing, remarketing, email marketing, direct mail, ratings and reviews, analytics, and inclusive ROI.

I’m also an accomplished sales manager and trainer with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets and developing high-performing sales teams.

What are your plans for the future?
My primary focus for the future is scaling the impact I have on the St. Louis small business community. Having spent years in high-level corporate marketing, I’ve seen how powerful these tools are when applied correctly, and I want to make those ‘big agency’ results accessible to local entrepreneurs. I’m looking forward to expanding Marketing by Corrine into a full-service resource hub where business owners don’t just get marketing services, but also the education they need to understand their own ROI. I’m also planning to dive deeper into inclusive marketing analytics—ensuring that every demographic in our city is being reached and represented effectively,

I’m also incredibly excited about the ‘Next Frontier’ of digital marketing. The industry is moving toward highly personalized, AI-driven customer journeys, and I’m currently planning ways to integrate those advanced conversion-tracking and automation tools into my local clients’ strategies. My goal is to stay ahead of the curve so my clients never have to play catch-up.
