Exploring Life & Business with Gayle Rose of WhyPowered Health Coaching + Fitness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gayle Rose.

Hi Gayle, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
After 15 years in the corporate business world and living abroad (Italy and Austria), I returned to the US and embraced my passion for health and wellness and got certified as a whole health coach, behavior change specialist and personal fitness trainer. I didn’t always prioritize my self-care and wanted to help others get unstuck and thrive with vibrant health.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’ve struggled with self-care, food and body image–feeling stuck and frustrated for years. Many of my former habits felt good in the moment, but ultimately kept me from being my best self. It wasn’t until I sought help that I was able to step off the ‘struggle bus’ and find more joy and freedom. With professional support and accountability, I shed 30 pounds and became more attuned to my daily energy and overall health. I was able to release habits that kept me stuck to find a deep, lasting peace and confidence.

Those years of struggle followed by breakthroughs led me to a career as a whole health coach and personal fitness trainer. I now empower others to release habits and mindsets that are holding them back from being their best selves.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I partner with people in mid-life to uplevel their mindset and daily habits for intentional self care so they can live with greater vitality. I help them close gaps between ‘knowing’ and ‘doing’.

With positive accountability and guidance, we say no diets, extremes, and gimmicks related to health and weight loss.

Distance is never a barrier as I connect with clients wherever they are via zoom for live coaching and/or fitness training.

Success stories say so much:
I’ve empowered 26 clients to join my ‘winner’s circle’– those who’ve shed 50 or more pounds. One is 130 pounds lighter and has sustained that for 4 years now. Hundreds more have transformed their health habits and made peace with food and their bodies.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
When I was barely three years old, I got into our backyard BBQ grill, rubbed charcoal on my face (think camo style) and climbed to the top of the 7 foot wooden fence surrounding our yard. My parents snapped a pic from the other side with me hanging out at the top looking down into the neighbor’s yard. I was an adventure seeker from early on!
