Hi Larry, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hi, I’m Larry Lamar born in St. Louis, Missouri. After moving to Denver, Colorado for a period, our family was deeply impacted by the tragic passing of my son, which led me to return to St. Louis to find clarity. Already on the smoke shop path working in the smoke shop industry, I began exploring opportunities to establish my business in St. Louis.
Though plans initially slowed down and seemed uncertain for a while, fate stepped in when the owner of a building reached out to me. From there, we both worked diligently to prepare the space, each handling our respective responsibilities. With determination and hard work, smoke shop officially opened its doors, Aug 26, 2021
Now, two years later, the business is thriving, and from that came House 30314 Event Space.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Really, it’s been smooth, but you do have to learn your area. just because you open a business that don’t mean people will come. So, learning my area, and customer base has been the biggest lessons/ struggles.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
There are so many ways to go in this industry, it hasn’t been me driving, I’m just not stopping, so as opportunities arise, I’ll be right there ready for them.
