My husband and I founded Ivory Grove in early 2020 with a vision to redefine wedding photography and videography as a collaborative and team-oriented service. We saw an opportunity to create a structure that would deliver stunning, high-quality media while also being accessible and stress-free for couples. From the very beginning, our goal was to combine affordability with excellence, ensuring that every couple could enjoy beautiful wedding imagery without unnecessary stress.
What began as a shared love for people, weddings, and storytelling has grown into a thriving business with a talented and passionate team. Each member of our team has been carefully chosen for their creativity and dedication to providing an exceptional client experience. Together, we’ve built something truly special—helping couples capture the joy, love, and beauty of their wedding days in a way that feels effortless and personal.
Looking back, it’s been incredible to see how Ivory Grove has grown. We’ve had the privilege of working with so many amazing couples, and it’s deeply rewarding to hear how much they value the memories we’ve helped preserve. Today, we remain focused on what matters most: creating timeless, heartfelt imagery and ensuring every step of the process is as easy and enjoyable as possible for our clients.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but that’s part of what makes this journey so rewarding. We are constantly learning, growing, and evolving. Starting a business, especially one that’s so personal and built on passion, comes with its fair share of challenges. There have been moments of doubt, times when we had to pivot, and even some tough decisions along the way. But each of those challenges has been an opportunity for growth, both professionally and personally.
Pouring your heart and soul into something you believe in so deeply naturally comes with its ups and downs. There are moments of real joy when everything aligns and the vision comes to life, but also moments where things don’t go as planned, and that can be tough. What keeps us going, though, is the belief that every step of the journey is worth it. We’ve learned to embrace the challenges and use them to become better at what we do.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Starting Ivory Grove was definitely a risk, and honestly, it’s not something I take lightly. I’m naturally more conservative and tend to think things through carefully before making any big decisions. I like to cover all my bases, plan ahead, and do everything I can to ensure things go smoothly. So, starting a business—especially during a time like early 2020—was a leap into the unknown, and it came with its challenges.
That said, I’ve learned that sometimes risk is necessary for growth. While I don’t love taking risks, there’s an element of faith and trust that comes with running a business. You have to trust that the work you’re doing, the values you believe in, and the team you build will help guide you through the inevitable ups and downs. It’s not about taking reckless risks, but more about being open to stepping outside of your comfort zone and trusting the process.
For me, the risks we’ve taken have always been calculated and rooted in a desire to create something meaningful. It’s been about knowing what we stand for, having confidence in our work, and believing in the impact we can make on our clients’ lives. That kind of risk—while still challenging—has been worth it.
