Hi Marie, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
I relocated to St. Louis, Missouri from Belle-Anse, Haiti in the fall of 1994, my parents wanted better opportunities for my siblings and me. We did not realize St. Louis would be cold and snowy, we are islanders this was a huge surprise. However, we maneuvered and began life in a new place, we started to be a part of the community and quickly realized education and having great credit helps give you access to things. My dad began buying property which started by love for real estate and understanding credit. It was not until after high school I got a real lesson on how powerful credit was, I opened a credit card through my bank and maxed it out because I did not truly understand how credit worked, it was not until I received a bill in the mail that I put the two together. My now mentor Hanso “Coach Legend” Denis introduced me to the financial literacy industry in January 2018 and I have not looked back ever since. Through this amazing opportunity, I have been able to increase my personal credit score and my families too. Once my score improved, I was able to sign and drive a vehicle off the lot. This ultimately made me want to serve my community so they can see how that feels, the power of credit is amazing. This industry has completely changed my life and I would not know where I would be without this amazing platform. I am beyond grateful and my goal to serve the masses will not stop.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
No, it has not been a smooth road. Entrepreneurship is not for the weak, some of the struggles I have faced are juggling my business and personal on a day-to-day basis. Every day is a never quite the same, I am the rock for my family and in between being a caretaker for my dad and my little brother, from appointments to virtual school it can be a lot. As far as building a team nationwide it has been fun and rewarding and learning to navigate new roles of leadership. My biggest struggle of all was that my friends and family did not support me at first, it was not until I donated my Corporate America job back that they took me serious.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
This is a great question, yes, absolutely I would say 1) start believing in yourself sooner 2) trust the process, your mentor knows what is best for you follow their guidance. 3) People who start with who may not finish with you. 4) This is marathon not a sprint think about longevity. In business, you must control your emotions!
