Hi Moon, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I immigrated from Vietnam when I was approximately 18 years old, went to the University of Missouri – St. Louis, and graduated with a Degree in Accounting. I went on to work several jobs as a Financial Analyst, and slowly I felt the grind of the corporate world, and although I enjoyed some parts of it, my mind has always wandered over to health and beauty. That’s been my passion for as long as I can remember. One day, my husband told me to quit and go into business for myself, and one day, I did just that and started traveling. I went to many places to train, such as Arizona, California, Florida, South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, etc., to further immerse myself in my passion. Countless training hours have led me to open my own medical spa in West County in the Manchester/Ballwin area, Gangnam Medical Spa. This is where you will find me most days treating my clients for all their skincare and body contouring needs, from acne, skin tags, melasma, scar revisions, excess cellulite, and much more. Using the latest and greatest equipment training by professionals, you can rest assured that you will leave my spa a much better version of yourself. In my other free time, you can find me taking orders at my boba tea shop, Honey Bee Tea, which my husband and I opened in early 2022 and is located next door to the spa. You wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been smooth?
The pandemic slowed me down a little, just like it did most businesses, and finding good help is always a challenge, but overall I can’t complain as my businesses have thrived over the last few years.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Be bold and ask questions, speak to many professionals in the industry, take a little from everyone, ignore what doesn’t work for you, and don’t be afraid to fail. Be willing to try everything that’s out there. If you don’t, how will you know if something works? B humble and willing to learn, and that will take you far.
