Today we’d like to introduce you to Roxie Hayes.

Hi Roxie, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Hello everyone!

It has always been my dream to truly work hard in order to help others. I started this journey after enrolling at the University of South Florida as a full time student – studying interpersonal communications & marketing while working a part time job at JPMorgan chase! There I had the opportunity to work in several different roles that allowed me the opportunity to assist people with their finances, mortgage knowledge, credit and even investing in fixed annuities.

Fast forward to now, I relocated to St. Louis with my 2 year old who’s now 6 years old Jaden! He is a big part of my main motivation! I went through a lot of things during that relocation & during the same year was able to become rookie of the year for my previous brokerage selling over 29 homes in a city Where I knew no one. Let me say this, I love Jesus & he will never leave me hanging! After two years in the Lou- I branched out to open my own company that is now known as RoxStar Properties! My motto is: real estate beyond excellence! We don’t give mediocre service we pride ourselves in delivering excellence.

I am honored to be able to assist other agents and growing in the real estate industry and I’m so excited to continue on in the journey of building my smaller company to a bigger household brand! To be able to assist others with their dreams of owning or investing in real estate has always been a dream! As a young child, my oldest sister April would always take me with her to go look at model homes from builders! This is where I started having dreams of doing what I do as a career one day! I am always so excited for clients – especially first time buyers who may have never known that they could be homeowners!

I’m always willing to help others, one of my main goals is for everyone I come in contact with to win! Im honored to share a little of my story and Im privilege to be able to have run a successful business over the years! Like anything – it’s not easy but it’s worth it! I’m embarking on a few other journeys that are preparing me to branch out further!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Obstacles and challenges have come in many different forms! I went through a divorce shortly after moving to St. Louis and starting in real estate here. I actually relocated here with my ex-husbands job. We separated after about a year of being here. He left his son and I to move back to Tampa Florida. It was a very tough time in my life but because I did not give up, I was able to do even better than I was doing before. It forced me to give it my all. My personal story isn’t all pretty but through it all God provided. You’ll soon hear more in my book. However, In regards to my business – there’s been other obstacles that arises, like efficiently planning, figuring out the best systems to use, being my own accountant, marketer and more.

As business owner, we know that there’s never a real off day when you are working to achieve something big! Your work day is transferred to the next – it never ends!! One of the bigger obstacles I’ve had is simply scaling, hiring help, and getting things checked off of my to-do lists! It’s not as easy as it looks but it’s certainly worth it to keep going!!

We’ve been impressed with Roxstar Properties, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is called Roxstar Properties, I built this company on a brand of excellence. So often we hear about the stories that aren’t so good with buyers and sellers experiences. This motivated me in this industry. My goal was to build a company where the culture was not about making money, but specifically about providing a much-needed service. This is how I came up with our slogan, real estate beyond excellence. The definition of excellent is the quality of being outstanding or extremely good. We are a company that helps other Buy properties, sell properties, and invest in new properties including commercial.

We specialize in assisting first time buyers, as well as the seller who is looking to buy at the same time. We are known for the amount of people that we are able to assist and reaching the goal that they may have never thought would be possible. Our priority in everything we learn is to get outstanding in our knowledge. In real estate sometimes you can learn something new everyday! What sets us apart from others is that we strive to not only sell you a home but to make sure that you’re experience in buying or selling a home is top-notch, from the inspectors that we work with, from the contractors that we refer you to, to the title company that we select for you to choose. We know about all the programs that are available to you based on your specific needs; including those financial and credit needs. We are all things excellent. Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
The most important thing that I’ve learned from COVID -19 is that you have to truly be resilient in business. When your back is against the wall and you feel like everything is going wrong you have to obey the rules but work even harder to make it through. As always keep God first by simply starting every single day in thanks for him allowing you to see another one. Having another day to start fresh! COVID affecting many people in so many different ways. I personality lost a very close family member. It was not easy at all but learning to appreciate and value every single day as we never know when it could be our last has been my main lesson of this crisis.
