Exploring Life & Business with Shamira Fuller-Cross of Mira Designs

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shamira Fuller-Cross.

Hi Shamira, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Shamira Fuller-Cross and I am the founder of Mira Designs, LLC located in Fayetteville, North Carolina. I’m a graduate of Terry Sanford High School and I attend college at Methodist University and my major is Psychology and my minor is Music. Mira Designs, LLC specializes in customizing phone and tablet cases, phone skin covers, and more for you to show off your case with style. I launched my business on September 14, 2020, and was incorporated as an LLC on April 28, 2021. I started my business because I kept seeing others promoting their businesses of what they do, and I felt like I could do a business too. Another reason why I started my business was for extra income. However, I wanted to sell products that were different from everyone else. While deciding what type of business I wanted to have, I would only come across others selling lip glosses, eyelashes, hair, makeup, nails, and wax services. I wanted to do something completely different that would stand out from the rest. Suddenly, designing custom phone cases came to my mind, and I was excited.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One challenge I’ve encountered along the way was learning how to create the best content for my audience. There are some ways I improved my business. I use big clear and high-quality photos of my products, connect my products to the culture/theme and customer, videos showing products in action and use, photos showing products in action, and engaging with other businesses. This pandemic gave me a different outlook to stay positive in spite of everything.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Mira Designs?

My motto is “Show off your case with style.” I came up with this motto because you are customizing your design to put on your case that flows with your everyday style. Designing phone cases are challenging but at the same time fun. With Mira Designs, LLC you are able to customize your design with your favorite sports team, celebrity, singer, actor, college, business logo, selfie, or family picture. Your designs can include letters, quotes or phrases, background colors, fonts, and emojis. The purpose of Mira Designs, LLC is to help an individual create their own one-of-a-kind case cover and to not depend on stores for a generic plain case when you can customize your own to show off.
I mostly customize your design on clear cases but will discuss other options available when you book an appointment through my webpage. My business goal is to expand my brand worldwide and to be able to network with those in my community at future pop-up-shops and events. Social media has been a major platform for me and I’ve had the privilege of designing cases for people around the United States and desire to extend my brand to reach celebrities locally and abroad. When you look around, everyone has a cell phone and there is no reason why your phone case should not be customized to reflect you and your style. We believe it’s important to be different and to follow your own ideas and to stand out in style. At Mira Designs, LLC we can help you do just that.
