Hidden Gems: Meet Breanna Kroon of LuxeSource Studio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Breanna Kroon.

Hi Breanna, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I didn’t take the traditional path into interior design — and I think that’s what shaped me the most.

I started my career working for a design-build company in San Diego in a marketing role. I had always been drawn to design, so while I was leading marketing efforts, I also stepped into support roles for the design and construction teams whenever I could. I wanted to understand how everything worked — not just aesthetically, but operationally.

Within a year of executing a strategic marketing overhaul, I helped double the company’s revenue. That momentum led to the launch of a marketing firm, where I helped creative and service-based businesses refine their positioning and growth strategies. But even as the business side of things thrived, I kept feeling pulled back to design.

Eventually, I decided to formally pursue that calling and enrolled at the New York School of Interior Design to earn my degree. While in school, I began working with a design firm in New York, gaining hands-on experience across a range of projects — from conceptual development to sourcing and client presentation. Being immersed in both academic rigor and real-world execution sharpened my eye and strengthened my technical foundation.

Over time, I realized I didn’t just want to design spaces — I wanted to build something of my own. I hired a business coach to better understand the operational side of running a firm, refined my service offerings, and officially launched my studio in 2025.

Today, my work sits at the intersection of design, branding, and experience. My background in marketing gives me a strategic lens — I don’t just design beautiful spaces, I design with intention, positioning, and longevity in mind. Whether it’s residential, hospitality, or experiential projects, my goal is always the same: to create spaces that feel elevated, deeply considered, and emotionally impactful.

This journey hasn’t been linear — but every chapter has shaped the way I design now. And in many ways, I feel like I’m just getting started.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a perfectly smooth road — and I don’t think it’s meant to be.

Starting a design business teaches you very quickly that growth doesn’t happen overnight. There’s a misconception that once you launch, momentum just builds on its own. In reality, it takes time — time to refine your voice, time to build trust, time to develop systems, and time for your work to be seen in the way you envision.

In the beginning especially, there were moments of doubt. You’re balancing creativity with operations, vision with cash flow, and passion with patience. You’re not just a designer — you’re a marketer, accountant, project manager, and strategist all at once. That learning curve can feel heavy.

But what I’ve learned is that consistency compounds. Staying committed to your standards, continuing to show up, refining your process, and believing in the long-term vision — that’s what creates real traction. There were seasons that required resilience and quiet perseverance, but those seasons built the foundation I stand on now.

Growth in design — and in business — is rarely linear. It expands in layers. And if you’re willing to stay patient and believe in your ability to evolve, it does pay off.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Absolutely — here is your refined version with the Airbnb origin clarified and elevated while keeping the tone strong and editorial:

LuxeSource Studio is a luxury residential and hospitality design firm rooted in the belief that spaces should do more than look beautiful — they should hold presence, tell a story, and create lasting impact.

The studio originally launched as Rest & Revive Design Co., born from my early focus on quick, high-impact refreshes for Airbnb clients. I was working with short-term rental properties that needed immediate transformation — spaces that felt elevated, cohesive, and market-ready without full renovations. That season of my career sharpened my ability to see potential quickly, design strategically, and execute with precision. It taught me how powerful thoughtful design can be — not only aesthetically, but commercially.

As the scope of work expanded, so did the vision. What began as rapid refreshes evolved into full-scale transformations. Styling deepened into sourcing. Sourcing expanded into procurement strategy and complete installations. Projects became more layered, more experiential, and increasingly hospitality-driven at a higher level. LuxeSource Studio emerged as a natural evolution — a name that reflects refined sourcing, intentional curation, and a more expansive, elevated design direction.

Today, we specialize in luxury residential and hospitality design, with a strong emphasis on procurement and full-scale execution. Beyond concept development and styling, we oversee sourcing, vendor coordination, and installation to ensure every detail aligns seamlessly with the original vision. My background in marketing and business strategy continues to shape our approach — particularly in hospitality, where design must not only be beautiful but also positioned to perform, attract, and create a memorable guest experience.

What sets LuxeSource Studio apart is that intersection of design and strategy. I understand how branding, storytelling, and spatial experience work together. Whether it’s a private residence or a luxury short-term rental, the design is intentional — rooted in context, aligned with long-term goals, and layered with detail.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the evolution itself. LuxeSource Studio represents growth — creatively, operationally, and strategically. The studio stands for elevated materials, curated sourcing, refined palettes, and environments that feel both grounded and quietly powerful. We value restraint as much as statement. Texture as much as color. Experience as much as form.

What I want readers to know is that LuxeSource Studio isn’t about trends. It’s about longevity. About creating spaces that feel intentional the moment you enter them and continue to resonate long after. Whether we’re designing a residence meant to gather generations or a hospitality property meant to leave a lasting imprint, our focus is always the same: thoughtful design, executed beautifully, with purpose behind every detail.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Starting out can feel overwhelming because you’re building skill, confidence, and credibility all at once. My biggest advice is to focus less on appearing established and more on becoming excellent.

When you’re new, it’s easy to compare your timeline to someone else’s highlight reel. I wish I had understood earlier that growth in this industry is layered. Your eye develops over time. Your voice becomes clearer with repetition. Your process strengthens with experience. There’s no shortcut for that — and that’s okay.

I also wish I had known how important the business side of design is. Creativity alone isn’t enough. Understanding contracts, pricing, procurement, communication, and positioning will give you stability and longevity. The most successful designers aren’t just talented — they’re strategic.

And perhaps most importantly: stay consistent. Momentum builds quietly before it becomes visible. There will be seasons where it feels slow or uncertain, but if you continue refining your craft, showing up professionally, and believing in your long-term vision, it compounds.

Design is a career built over years, not months. Be patient. Invest in your education — formally or informally. Seek mentors. Protect your standards. And trust that clarity comes from doing the work.
