Today we’d like to introduce you to Christian Young
Hi Christian, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My Name is Christian Young
People who may know me go by Chris, King, or Bubba! I’m a Cultural Visionary, Serial Entrepreneur, & Jack of All Trades. Born & raised in St. Louis Missouri. Getting my traditional roots and principles from my family & other great mentors. I grew up in the St. Louis County area of the city for a major part of my childhood seeing things A-Z of great and not-so-great influences.
I spent most of my younger days involved in Church, sports (Baseball, Football, & Basketball), family events, indulging in the great era of music, classic TV shows and old-school/new-school music. Essentially the essence of being a child in the early 2000’s.
It wasn’t until High school, that I was able to start actively thinking about being a young adult or at least being a black minority in a very cultured and often distracting society.
I was always aware of my surroundings & the things that could affect my life rather than what a typical kid was into or what the cultural trend was at the time being. Having this mindset, I believe I was able to not only advance in my peer-to-peer society but also, Decipher my actions, be present in many situations, and I was driven into what spiritually fulfilled me on a inner level.
Everyone gets that question growing up: what do you want to be when you’re older? And for me, that occupation was never clear or easy to answer, I believe this is because I was always able to manifest things that I wanted or create things with the power of my mind. Watching those around me not only go to work but spend their free time doing things that they may not want to do or like to do for example pay bills, was always a thing of principle and discipline, it wasn’t a matter of wanting to do something or wanting to go to work but more so having to do that to survive. And realizing this drove me away from a lot of occupations, being that most of them are time-consuming, or require a lot of school. I always knew I was good with my hands & always had a good eye for things on the talented spectrum, but never knew what I wanted to do. Sometimes the answer would be an engineer, and sometimes it was a ball player, but in the back of my mind, I knew I was capable of every job on the market and I knew I could excel.
It wasn’t until senior year that I had to kick things in gear, that I found myself in a constant circle of progress and then stagnation. This was due to many distractions(bad habits, relationships, & burdensome friendships). Little did I know at the time but these things were holding me back and I needed to release them before it was too late. I finished high school with a 3.5 GPA, got into a scholarship program and went to St. Louis Community College for business administration. This was in the time of the COVID-19 pandemic (Spring 2020). Let’s just say things didn’t work out, I didn’t finish with the business degree but I was still determined to accomplish some form of higher education in my future. So I went into the work mindset in the meantime, working various jobs in all fields. Through the span of the last five years, I’ve been building income all while enlightening myself on numerous topics like financial markets & trade investing, herbal medicine, media production, psychology, & the universal laws of life. I’ve been able to secure a solid career job, I went back to finish school this past December & I am now a certified universal HVAC (heating & cooling) technician. To compliment that I’ve been building INVST, a media company that focuses on the core values of taking a vision and creating a tangible valued experience from the ground up, just recently got an LLC for the brand & I’m currently in the reconstruction phase of my journey. Over the last 3 years, I’ve been able to curate enormous amounts of wisdom, while networking to build resourceful relationships, and “INVST” into my craft piece by piece.
While most might see me or describe me as a cool guy or the man with the plan, I just consider myself a chill guy with a lot of attributes and a vision. So to say the least things are working out for me! Those who are just tapping in should stay tuned for there is more in store for this young king! This is just a reminder to keep family close, keep that higher power close to you in the best and darkest times of your life & finally, know you’re always in control even when you think you’re not, It’s a mindset!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road. Very bumpy and hazardous but I’ve been able to maintain my own lane and drive straight.
Some struggles like I stated previously would be lack of discipline or distraction from outside sources.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about INVST PHOTOGRAPHY ?
To INVST means to put time, effort, or value into something with the intention to produce something or get a greater return, this is our definition of investing.
My mission is to provide a service and/or platform for consumers come to do just that, INVST. Not just a regular investment like stocks, this investment strives to intake your exact vision, vibe, and goal for your project & curate a catalog through media production that captures a tangible experience. Most importantly my main goal is to get a strong sense of satisfaction from my clients. That feeling of a return on your investment can’t be beat and I work to achieve that feeling after every transaction with my clients.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
There’s many ways to take a risk and it can be good or bad depending on the situation and how you perceive it. I’ll just say I’m a logical risk taker. If it make sense and is feasible, take the risk.
