Hidden Gems: Meet Courtney & Brendan Chambers of The Daily Driver Classic Motors

Today we’d like to introduce you to Courtney & Brendan Chambers.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My husband, Brendan, and I first met when we were 16 years old at Waterway Car Wash in Kirkwood. Our story began with a shared passion for cars. We worked side by side washing cars on the line at Waterway and quickly formed a strong friendship. As teenagers, Brendan would take me to car shows, and I always admired the stunning cars—they truly are art on wheels. Brendan has had an unwavering passion for everything automotive since he was a young boy. He knows everything there is to know about cars—if he could earn a PhD in automotive knowledge, he’d have it!

Even at the young age of 16, we shared a dream of becoming business owners someday. In our 20s, I moved back to St. Louis from Cleveland, Ohio, and as soon as I told Brendan I was returning, he asked me out. I jokingly said, “As long as you’re planning on marrying me,” and he assured me he was. The rest is history.

After college, I gained extensive experience in sales, management, and business working for large corporations during the first decade of my career. Brendan, on the other hand, worked for two of Missouri’s largest classic car dealerships.

Following the unexpected loss of my beloved brother and facing our own challenges in starting a family, we decided to take a leap of faith and launch the business we had always envisioned. Just three weeks after leaving our jobs, we received the incredible news that we were expecting a baby! Now, we’re navigating the beautiful chaos of entrepreneurship while raising our 9-month-old.

I manage the business strategy and relationships, while Brendan is our car expert and automotive genius. Together, we make an incredible team. We’re thrilled to announce that in January 2026, we’ll be moving into a new location in the iconic STL neighborhood, The Hill. The past year and a half has been a whirlwind, and we’re excited to see where this journey takes us next.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Our journey has been marked by both challenges and triumphs. I truly believe that obstacles can lead you to beautiful destinations. For us, the loss of my brother—whom Brendan and I were very close to—gave us the strength to leave our previous jobs and embrace a new chapter of entrepreneurship. Quitting our jobs together was a bold move, but we knew we couldn’t have done it without each other. It felt like the only way forward.

Being new parents while launching a new business has been incredibly demanding—by far the hardest thing we’ve ever faced—but it’s also brought us unparalleled happiness. Owning a business is more than just a job; it’s a lifestyle, much like parenthood. You’re on 24/7. When you step away, expenses still come out, but there’s no PTO or time off—when we’re working, we’re earning. There’s no real off switch.

We have two little ones—our son, Eddie, and The Daily Driver, our business. Owning your own business is a huge learning curve; you wear every hat imaginable—from Owner, CEO, COO, CFO, President, Manager, Payroll, Janitor—you name it. It’s a wild adventure, but we’re having a blast navigating it all.

As you know, we’re big fans of The Daily Driver Classic Motors. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
