My love for flowers blossomed from an early age. Inspired by my mom, who was an active member of a local garden club, I developed a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature. In grade school, I entered a flower arrangement contest and proudly won a ribbon. This early triumph ignited a passion that grew into a lifelong commitment to caring for beautiful outdoor spaces through lawn maintenance.
Creating a peaceful sanctuary at home is a personal goal of mine, and I strive to bring this same tranquility to our Dowco clients. Running a landscape maintenance company has come with its fair share of challenges. Balancing the needs of our clients, employees, and the financial aspects of the business requires constant attention and adaptability. One significant challenge has been managing our workforce, particularly since many of our dedicated employees come from Mexico on temporary work visas. The uncertainties and complexities surrounding these visas have often created stressful and unpredictable situations.
Another major hurdle was navigating the business partnership with my husband. Our marriage eventually ended in divorce, which was a deeply personal and professional challenge. Taking over as the sole owner of Dowco Enterprises was a daunting transition, but it also allowed me to steer the company according to my vision.
Despite these struggles, the people involved have been a constant source of encouragement. Our clients are truly exceptional, and our staff is top-notch. Their support and dedication have been the driving force that kept me going during tough times.
