Hidden Gems: Meet Lucas Godoy of LBP Creative Agency

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lucas Godoy.

Hi Lucas, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I arrived in the USA on December 27, 2019, at age 35, with my wife and daughter. At the house of some uncles, I had seen twice in my life. These relatives received us with so much love and warmth that my days of life will not be enough to thank them. Like many immigrants, I didn’t have a job, didn’t speak the language, and didn’t know what I was getting myself into. I only brought two things: 1) a great desire to progress and 2) an adventurous spirit that always gets me into trouble.

As soon as we arrived, this guy who greeted us gave me a laptop he no longer used. When I saw it, I said, “my wife’s uncle is not giving it to me, but life itself. I have to do something with it.” While working “whatever,” because I am very restless, I began to see an opportunity to help those who had small companies and did not know how to offer their product or service in the digital world. At first, it was challenging for me to get the client to understand 100% what I was doing, but then this sad event that we all knew as the COVID-19 pandemic would come, and that practically forced people to have to reinforce their activity within the world of Social Half. That’s when “Latin Business Power” was born, a digital marketing agency.

Together with Pri, we took the first steps, helping those businesses to present a more professional image. Then Cari joined, and a little later, Majo. One day we were in a virtual meeting, and we realized something essential: we are all artists, and our strength is not “digital marketing” but “content creation.” We are creators of art. “Latin Business Power” sounded very cold, not for what we did, but for who we are, so we decided to change our name to “LBP Creative Agency.” This led us to expand our market niche and services since we would stop focusing exclusively on content for social networks and aim more at multimedia content.

The latest addition is Sergio, also an artist, and he is the one who completes the current team of LBP Creative Agency. We are currently working on a project that LBP will launch at the end of the year, where each small entrepreneur or business owner can promote their product or service. We are working hard against the clock, but we believe it will be worth it.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No. It has not been easy since I started building the agency. When starting a business/venture, the path is always similar to that of a roller coaster. You are excited but afraid. You take risks without knowing how they will end. In many moments we were about to “throw in the towel.” But we didn’t, neither for the team, for those clients who have always supported us. Nor for the goal of helping as many people as possible.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about LBP Creative Agency?
LBP Creative Agency is a team of creative professionals who help entrepreneurs to approach the digital world. We provide our clients with design pieces, social media strategies, and digital marketing tools. Our focus is on those small and medium business owners who need to be more open to digital platforms and do not know or do not have the time to do so. The idea is to reach your goals through design and social networks. We offer design services: logos, visuals for social networks, flyers, billboards, merchandising design, etc. Our distinction is in the craftsmanship we do with each of our clients, who ultimately become part of our family.

What do you think about happiness?
See that our clients achieve their goals and help entrepreneurs get closer to what they want.
